Part 1 Exhaust mod Part 2, 3-31-13
Today I did the first part of modifying my stock exhaust 
I was down at S&R Performance a looong time ago making a delivery when I noticed a 350Z exhaust in the scrap pile. I thought the stock tips would look good on a S2000 so I asked Bobby about it and he gave it to me. Time laps to today and I finally got to give them a try

The 350Z tips are made of some pretty good stainless steel, maybe 440 
We machined the back side inlet of the Z tips so they would slip over the stock S2000 muffler outlets.
The Z tips are nearly the same length as the AP1 tips so the fit from muffler to bumper exit stayed about the same. The Z tips have a wider diameter (3.50") than the AP1 (3.0") tips and the Z tips have a nice angle cut with rolled edge.

A quickie weld job so I can have the new tips in place for the SPGP. I will be removing the stock exhaust some time next week to finish the mods and to do a proper finish on the tips
waiting for Part 2!!
