Default Halo Headlights

I got some aftermarket headlights that I am going to install here shortly. Everything seems pretty cut and dry regarding install, but there were no install instructions regarding wiring. Some videos that I have watched, the headlights are wired a bit differently. I was curious if anyone knows where I should tap into for the LED strip? I can assume red is power and black is ground, but it goes into the same plug. All the videos i have watched, red goes to the running light power and black goes to the ground.

Hi Ryan - I think I can help out here, but do have a question. How do you want the LED's to activate? When parking lights are on or when headlights are on?

i am thinking when the parking lights are on so the halos/leds can be on without low beams. i have an idea on how to do it, i think i just need to separate the wires, connect the black together / white together. just never have been too confident when it comes to electrical stuff.

Should be as simple as taping into the parking light cable and grounding the LED's (if needed). We've done this on a couple of cars. The hardest part was mounting the LED's into the headlight assembly which is already done. The end result was awesome.

Here is the finished product. It took a little longer than expected since the bumper was attached by bolts instead of screws to the fenders in the wheel well. I had to take the tires off to access and get enough room to loosed everything. Overall, very pleased how it turned out with minimal gap issues with aftermarket headlights.

Looking good Ryan. Was the wiring as easy as I hoped?

it was super easy mike. the headlights were a direct plug in play. the LED/Halo plugged right into the running light socket.
