I'm not looking to bad mouth anyone, but hopfully this might stir them up to take some action.

Here's the story.... In early March Final Level Garage was having a group buy for Magnaflow exhausts. Well since there were no pictures up and no one had the exhaust to vouch for it there was little interest. So I made a deal with them that for a reduced cost i would be the "test mule" for it, I would take pictures and such when i recieved it. Well I paypaled them the money on March 13th, they told me it would be 2-3 weeks before it was done (which was fine i figured it would be longer). Well 2 weeks went by, then three, then four....so i PMed them asking the deal, they said that it was almost done, again no problem. Well a week or two went by and nothing. Again I messeged them, they said it had been shipped. Again nothing. Another couple of weeks went by and i again asked them what was going on, they said i would have it by the end of the week (this was on May 8th). Well that Friday came (May 12th) and still no exhaust, So i talked to them again and they said they had no problem refunding my money and they would drive up to Magnaflows headquarters and see what the deal was that day, so i held off on the refund and waited to hear from them. That takes me to this Tuesday (the 16th) after not hearing anything from them i decided that i want my money back so I PM'ed them with the request. Nothing. Pm'ed them yesterday (and IM'ed them), nothing yet. I just want my money back so i can make another pruchuse, and I'm tired of being dicked around.

So If you read this please PM asap so we can get this settled.

That sucks. I remember seeing that GB as well as your post offering to be the "test mule".

From what you're saying it sounds like they have been pretty decent with responding to your PM's/emails along the way so maybe they're having a busy week and/or out of the office. Hopefully it is just a screw-up between them and Magnaflow and you will get your money back.

Good luck.

I wish i could go and find out whats going on...but I'm in Jersey so it's not so easy.

That's the weird thing, he seemed like such a nice guy throughout the process. I'm a really patient person as long as i know whats going on. I'll try PMing him one more time see if i can get a response, if not I'm gonna have to go through the BS of a paypal dispute.

So if anyone knows him personally could you let him know about this thread, i just want to get this settled and go on my way.

If it's been three months since you paid thru paypal, it's too late to file a dispute.

Its great of you to bring this up and not jump to conclusions. So many times, you read about someone having a not so great experience and libeling the person/vendor without getting all the info first or not hearing the other side of the story. What you've done is refreshing to say the least. I definitely like the way you've handled the situation and hopefully, things get settled and that you're not getting ripped off. thumbsup.gif

Not sure what office that is, but that is not the one the OP is dealing with. Fillmatic is out of south san diego... i think he runs it out of his home...

I would PM him but i dont need to get involved... go into the San Diego forum and try to contact him.. I didnt mean physically go to San Diego...

Yes I totally understand..

Final Level Garage or Fillmatic is, in my understanding, one of many vendors for Magnaflow.

I am under the assupmtion that the original poster is not aware of where the problem is located, either the vendor or the manufacturer.

Although I may not get in touch with Fillmatic (the vendor) I am able to get in touch with the Magnaflow (the manufacturer). This may help the original poster as to who is responsible for this mix-up.

Please do not take this the wrong way. I was not accusing anyone of scamming, instead I was simply leaving doors open for a member who needed help. I understand what he is going through, having been scammed a few times.

Again, I dont know what good it will do but, because I am litterally down the street from Magnaflow, feel free to PM me if you need me to drop by for a visit.

oh ok Doohee, your previous post was not real clear on 'who' you were down the street from ... so i thought, and i think the OP thought, you meant Final Level...

I would certainly check with Magnaflow... they may tell you that they have had them in stock forever, or may confirm a big delay...

I spoke with Final Level Garage Phil, and it seems like it was an issue with Magnaflow. Either way I understand where you're coming from, from personal experience with other vendors. anyways if it helps i'll PM his cell number to you so you can talk to him. Phil said it was okay

good luck

Sorry fellas. All your comments are pure BS. In the original post, he states that he got info from the vendor, saying THE ITEM WAS SHIPPED. After nothing showed up at his door, he emailed them, and they said there was a problem at Magnaflow's end.

Thats complete BS. You dont tell someone something has shipped, just so they get off your case. Call the BBB and file a report with your CC company. Im tired of all these a$$hole vendors ripping off people that are not around them.

(The above post is only meant if the original poster is telling the truth)

P.S. I have the same problem right now, but will wait another week until I bring it out in the open. I purchased a product from a sponsor, a week and a half later (site said ships within 24 hours by UPS ground) I emailed them to see WTF. No answer. (this was to the customer service email address.) Then, I emailed the sales address, and recieved a tracking number. a USPS tracking number (the site said UPS)....

Tracked the package, no info. If I find out they lied to me, like they lied to their original poster, I will devote all my energy into putting them out of business.

P.P.S. Shame on S2ki for allowing vendors like this to continue to sell on s2ki. Since we are paying members, we should get protection...meaning....As a vendor, you screw a member, you get your sponsorship revoked, and lose the money you paid for it.

I really don't know how you guys can wait for months on end. If something is suppose to be shipped to me within 2-3 weeks, it better be here by then or else give me a refund and not the run around. If you want to keep your customers give them their money back, so they trust you and will continue buying products from you.

Shouldn't the VENDOR MAKE THE EFFORT to contact the paying customer? That is bullshit, i will NEVER buy from them just for this reason. You don't have a 3rd party PM the paying customer a cell#

Yeah, that really isn't cool in my eyes. If he knows about this problem should he be the one trying to correct it?!? I'll give him a call and see if we can get this settled.

About the wait, I knew going into this that i was the tester of this exhaust, and maybe the first one to get it. I work in a body shop so i know that there are delays, esp. when dealing with a new product. I know how much it pisses me off when customers don't understand that delays happen. I don't like to be a hypocrite, so i didn't jump up their ass when i didn't get it in 3 weeks. I guess shame on me for not jumping on this problem sooner.

Oh and thank you very much Xpresso2am for the phone number smile.gif
