Alright, I got 5 new videos. click on the link to download. I hope I have enough bandwidth that everyone can get these. They aren't huge, but it's off of sony's free imagestation, so who knows how much they'll give me.
This is an original shelby cobra racing an LT1 manual tranny comaro with 150 shot nitrous. They go from a roll start, and then floor it at like 5 or 10mph. shelby vs 150shot camaro Here's me vs a stock 6spd LT1 camaro SS. S2000 vs LT1 SS Here's the same LT1 SS vs a mustang GT with exhaust. Notice that when the GT goes by, it has the same sticker on the car as Vin in fast and furious on the supra. LT1 SS vs fastnfurious stang GT Here is a video of me vs a stang GT with exhaust, intake (i think), and 3.73 gears. He said he shut down at 75-80mph. I wonder if I'd caught any ground on the top end??? S2k vs modded GT And finally, me vs an LS/VTEC integra, with intake and exhaust. I think he also had VAFC, but I don't remember. S2k vs LS/VTEC integra Let me know if anyone has problems with bandwidth or if it doesn't work.

Man, that Mustang was FAST!! It was even for the start then it just tore off! he must have had more than what he said. I mean he killed you! You beat the SS right, at least it looked like it, you got off the line better but he could not catch up.

Yeah, I think he had alot more done than he was saying.... but who knows. I know he's nowhere near stock, but hey, loss is a loss.
Yeah, beat the SS. Our cars are very even, but I will usually pull on him above 80 or 90mph. But as for 1/4 mile, whoever wins the launch, wins the race. |

Very nice videos!!!
I am surprised to see how modded mustang GT did so well. It didn't sound like it had a blower. I guess even bolt ons do magic on that car. Neverthless, awesome races!!! -------------------- ![]() |

It's actually the geras that wake up that car! I doubt, that guy had a blower and if he did, he needs to learn to drive, cause he could have pulled alot more! None the less good races/vids! Thanks for sharing!

Good vids. Gotta get gears!
That modded GT probably didn't have much more than he said, the V8 has a ton of power off the line, and the stock gears don't take advantage of that power, allowing normal people to drive the car without losing traction every 2 minutes. |

That GT had to have Ford "Racing" headers, exhaust, a transmission shift kit, 3.73 gears, and possibly a small shot of nitrous OR some internal modifications (like a high-performance cam) to pull like that. P.S. - What kind of video camera are you using? It must have 0lux and/or night vision. I want one!!! |

I dunno if the stang just had what he said-
Keep in mind - u would have no way of knowing if he had a chip, underdrive pulies, CAI- which are basic mods that really wake the car up when paired with gears. -The only question I have is did it have wider tires? The tires didn't spin very much when he launched or shifted to 2nd. This makes me think the guy had more then he told you and once he was moving he nailed it. -I just based this mindless rant on the fact that my Cobra isn't very fast and I go sideways or have severe tire spin when I shift from 1st to 2nd with the stock gears and my mods. |

Yes.... sony with 0lux nightshot, and steady cam.
And thanks for all of the compliments. I'll get plenty more next summer, I'm sure. And once I get my camera mount, it'll be even better. |

Hahahahaha!:dries eyes: Gears alone would do it, his other mods would be helping only a little compared to that. Unless he had some shop widen his Bullitt wheels, the widest tire he could run is the stock 245/45-17. If he had drag radials or something, he wouldn't even need the gears to pull like that off the line, and once he was ahead and going full-throttle, the S2000 would never catch him. A 99+ Mustang GT is a hell of a lot faster than what the ricer forums would have you believe:D |

You can fit 275's on a stock rim and 275's can be drag radial- I know cause my best friend has them on his 2000 GT- and it hooks much better then the stock rubberbands do:LOL: |

I tried to get a shop to mount 275's on my stock wheel this fall, and the shop wouldn't do it. Once I saw the tire, I could understand why. A 275 is WIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! Damn, that would have looked nice, but according to the shop's BFG tire manual, the widest tire that will safely fit on a 8" wheel is 245. You can certainly squeeze a 275 on there, if you find a shop to do it, but I would just buy two new wheels for race day if I wanted that much rubber, because a 17" wheel isn't ideal for drag racing anyway.
I cannot wait for spring:D Though I do need practice. If I can't beat you stock, Wis, I will just give up and beat you with mods:) |

Some people say its safe others say no- I think it depends on the brand of tire. Ex. Nittos some do not bulge as much as others. If you have traction problems on the street then it is worth it to make the switch to the wider tires. When I put mine on I had to move the tail pipe cause it would not fit
If you do a search on tire size on www. Stangnet. com in the SVT forum you can find the bands that fit w/o a dangerous bulge. If you like the look then do it. If you need more info about which brands fit better I can get it for you. |

Yeah, the tire I wanted to put on there was a 275/45-17 BFG GForce KDW, and it was obviously too big for the wheel - all you had to do was look at it, and anyone could see there was no way it would go on. I know tire size is not the same as actual tire dimensions, manufacturer to manufacturer, just didn't realize Nittos might fit. I might spend the summer on some drag radials, but hate the idea of having to slow down in the rain:D - would rather swap wheels for the weekend, and store them in my bedroom or something, maybe make a coffee table out of a plate of glass and my wheels:LOL:
