Here is a 2010 Audi A4 Sline, the customer requested the dealer not to prep the car. The dealer only took off the white film and packaging from Audi. We had a great surface to work with all that was required was to degrease some of the spots from the normal driving, a good claying, 1 step polish with Menzerna PO85RD and finally Collinite Insulator Wax with Swissvax Divine to top it.
As well as a new car prep the customer requested that we install a 3M PPF (custom cut) on his bumper, partial hood and fender, and mirrors. Enjoy. Products used: Exterior: Lusso AutoBathe Uber Yellow Wash Sponge Swissvax Yellow Clay Bar and Optimum Instant Detail Spray and Gloss Enhancer Einszett Spray Wax P21S Finish Restorer Metal Polish (on the tips) Menzerna PO85RD Collinite Insulator Wax Swissvax Divine Wheels and tires: P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel Swissvax Wheel Brush Uber Wheel Brush Uber Spoke Brush Swissvax Pneu Swissvax Autobahn Tools: Infratech 5300 Flex 3403 Porter Cable X7424XP The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch) [URL="http://www.detailersdomain.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=10"]Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels Uber Drying Towels[/URL] Brushes Cam Spray Pressure Wash and Cam Spray Foam Canon Before shots:    Wheels were cleaned up by using P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel, with Swissvax Wheel Brush, Uber Wheel Brush, and good old microfiber towels      P21S Total Autowash was used on the bug and tar and some spots as pictured above on the hood and mirrors.     Lusso Auto Bath was used to wash the car.   Car was rinsed and Wheels all cleaned up    Clay bar after a couple passes  Polishing with Menzerna PO85RD and the Uber Green Pad  Rinse after polishing as we prep for the 3M PPF install  Final Touches on the Wheels  3M PPF Prep and Install    Fitting to the hood       Fender install - Film was lined up with the hood and then fitted and tacked down    Bumper install   Wax being applied with the PC 7424XP  Nice even coat of wax  Final shots of the car            Customer and friend inspected film with Dan  -------------------- Phil Yiu Detailer's Domain Tel: 201-233-0003 phil@detailersdomain.com Please use s2ki for 10% off discount Detailer's Domain

yeah first we got the pre-cut kit, which the fitment sucked. Now I have a 25ft uncut roll, but he has a few other projects that he is tackling first and I have less and less faith as each day goes by. so much for trying to get it done "easier"  |

It depends what you want pre cut or custom cut, how much coverage etc.
We keep cars for 2 days to make sure everything was properly installed. Did you want the hood? mirrors? fenders? Bumpers? |

What happens after a few years when the paint has faded and you could only wax the non-filmed part of the car. Will the paint have different shade?

depending on where the car sits it could be a little faded but you should be able to polish it back up.

This was a great job for us, a complete detail with 3M PPF install.
The subject was a BMW M3 that my customer just picked up, he wanted to get it cleaned up and protected from the elements, as well requested that we install 3M PPF on the Front Bumper and Side Skirts. The car was not in bad shape at all the light scratches and swirls were not even noticed until we hit it up with a ton of different lighting. So minor we could not pick them up in pictures but they were there and it required 2 steps to pull them out. The metallic paint hid them extremely well. Mission: to max out the shine via Menzerna SIP and PO85RD, give it some nice glow and shine with Swissvax Divine and make sure the car is prepped correctly for the 3M PPF install. Wheels all cleaned up
 Car was washed and ready for claying  Clay bar  Claying the car down to prep for the 2 step polish with Menzerna SIP and PO85RD  Phil polishing the car with the Uber Yellow Foam Pad and SIP  Dan finishing up the car with PO85RD  Dust from polishing we will have to rinse the car    Rinse down  Beading shots of Swissvax Divine    Engine cleaned up  Final shots of the car prior to 3M PPF    Not much sunlight    Prepping for 3M PPF on the Front Bumper and the Side Skirts Tommy gets to work on the side skirts first  Dan giving Tommy a hand....  Tacking it down  Installed ready for trimming and final tack down  Tommy pulled the grill and side markers off  Tommy with the 50/50 wipe down to make sure everything is clean and ready to go  |
