Whats regarded as normal usage?

When the young 'un comes along, it will pale into insignificance.
All it has to do for me is pass track day noise tests at 6,750rpm or less.

Monday Update

Gave Dave a call at BF to see how they got on last week. This is the update:

* Car was in last week on ramps
* New template was made for the system and a requirement for a tool needed to punch the holes in the boxes for the tail pipes to allow rolled in look.
* Tool requirement was sent of to manufacturer and is due back today/tomorrow morning
* They are expecting the system to be ready end of the week providing no issues from the production fitment this week.
* Dave is to call me with an update when the system either goes out to Jason or if there is an issue with the fitting

As soon as I hear anything else Ill let you all know

Yep progress being made , as soon as i get news its ready to go im gonna get me one of those little hand held dB testers

im sure they wont be 100% perfect but likely to be adequate for our purposes

After watching Top Gear the other night, you can get a Db meter for the Iphone! So theres the backup if you cant get one

No problem at all mate , i was bigging up your assistance in the matter

yeh i got an i phone but not too sure how good it would be , a proper tool is only £20-30 on e bay , again possibly not the same as a professional device but certainly likley to be more accurate than using the phone version

I'll potentially be in the market for a new system soon(ish) and have been watching this closely. Looking forward to pictures and MANY videos/sound clips

Just come off the phone to Blueflame , they are carrying out the final test fitting today , subject to that all going to plan a system will be cleaned , polished and wrapped today.

Shipped tomorrow to reach us , fingers crossed monday

im sorting a dB tester as we speak , so if mcwrx is ready some time next weekk we should be all systems go

My personal plans are to photo the system off the car , photo the system on the car , weigh the system , weigh the OEM system , take a dB test and then if anyone wants to bring a vidcam along we can get some video too

it will then be down to mcwrx's personal opinions of the system in terms of build quality, noise levels in and out of car and general feelings

as we near the final days if anyone wants to add their name to the 'interested' mailing list for when we announce the GB pricing please let me know here

If you are taking video could you try get the following? I know you might be limited depending on where you are and what roads you have at your disposal but if you do not ask, you do not get

- Start up
- Standing at idle and up to 6k rpm
- Drive by
- Drive by in VTEC
- In car at cruise, up through a couple of gears to redline, normal shifting
- In car cruising at what would normally be "Drone range"

Would be great!
