Striped Bass Fishing @ Denison Dam
Right after work (5:00pm) im going to sleep. Wake up @ 2am and go on the hunt. Its going to be a war, and its going to be against my main enemy... The striped bass.
Last weekend, they defeated me, and I dont like to be defeated. 50lb test line would snap and hooks would bend. Im talking 20-30lb fish in fast moving current taking your line 100 yards down stream then SNAP...$30 worth of line gone. Tonite, I tie my Striper Killer bait and bringing in extra strong weapons. I am going to TEAR some fish tonite.
Denison Dam under Texoma Lake.
So today I sat here at work, preparing for the battle, tying striper jigs. Here i will reveal my secrets to anyone who wants to fish for Striped Bass.
Striper Jigs
The red represents a bleeding baitfish
Bleeding Shad
Supergluing eyeballs (it come as stickers on from the package, which sucks)
Hand tied Jigs 1/4oz. These are some ****ing striper killers, too bad they dont sell it in stores.
Zoom Bait Super Flukes on 1/4oz jig heads
The Rig
80lb test is for the paddlefish, they reach 100lbs easy
For the stripers
65lb test, 30lb test leader
Snap Swivel: I use this method so I can switch from Bobber to Weights on the fly
Weighted Cork set up
Weighted football sinker set up
The Paddlefish Snagger
Oh im going to punch some stripers in the face tonite.

I'm not a fisher by any stretch of the imagination. I don't even like it, but I have to apperciate the effort put into this thread.
