I finally managed to sign up for email service but now I don't know how to access it, I can't seem to find any such link under the start button menu or the mys2000 tab. Anyone know? Thanks and happy holidays to everyone.

I think they've changed it - regular members get a 20 MB email account. |

Currently you need a separate login/password. However, the mail system is getting more than a little too big to handle and I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to offer it. We may need to switch to just having email aliases which forward to another mailbox. gmail makes s2ki member email obsolete for the most part. Even I use a gmail account for everything outside of s2ki.
I know many people want that "club address" which allows you to share an email with people you may not want to have your other addresses. I still think we can offer something like it without having to manage 900+ mailboxes and worse securing and filtering it. I'm not going to write a webmail reader so we are stuck with primitive and secure SquirrelMail. I guess my point is that if you want an email account I can set one up for you but at some time in the very near future, maybe by the end of the year, I'm going to want to change things and phase-out the email service. I need to spend a lot more time working on the forums and such and less on keeping spammers from turning the mail server into an open spam relay. It's starting to drain resources faster than it's putting back in. |
