yippee..cylinder #2 misfire
#1
Yesterday the weather was so nice , i took it out for a nice drive since the car has been in the garage for 2 months. This morning went out to start the engine, CEL (Check Engine Light) came on. Have no freakn idea what causes it, so i went to Autozone have them check it out for free (woohoo!) The code PO302 showed up saying cylinder #2 misfire and there's the other code P1399 or Pl399 (?) doesn't said what it is. My question is how bad is it? Anyway of fixing it or i'll have to take to the dealer? Thanks to all that respond!

I had a cylinder misfire at about 18,500 miles, and the dealership replaced all the fuel injectors. They tried just one and it helped, but all four fixed it completely. Just make sure if you have it done, they order enough injectors to do them all. For mine, they only ordered the parts for one, and I had to wait an extra couple of days for the them to wait for the parts to replace the others. Ever since then, I have had no problems. If you decide to wait awhile to get it fixed, I believe it will not cause any problems, just give you a rough ride. Hope that helps.

i just brought my car into the dealship for a cel problem and they diagnosed the car having a misfire on cylinder #2. The technician said one of the vaccum hose is bent wrong? so the air wasn't flowing smoothly to the MAP sensor causing it to read +/- voltage somewhere. That's why the cel was on. We'll see if my cel comes back on.

Today my S2000 also remained misfiring cylinder #2 (only 3 or 4 times before, but just a few seconds at startup).

Anyone know what causes these cylinders to misfire?
Is it just age, abuse, lack of maintenance or ...?

My car had both the sparkplug recall and European oil jet bolts recall done in September 2002...
Are there more people with clogged fuel injector problems (even mainly on cylinder #2) just assuming that is actually the problem on my poor car...
Thanks guys!
