Many people have been asking me what I have done to draw the hp out of the S2000. This is a short answer. biggrin.gif

Currently producing 362 hp and 216 ft lbs:
Photo

Comparison before and after exhaust, injectors
[/PHOTO]

Intake is Vortech with enlarged ProFlow TB and matched manifold. Photo matched to proflow TB[/PHOTO] The injectors are RC 750s (754s actually) and the fuel pressure is at 50. A Hondata gasket is used for thermal isolation.

The head has oversized lightweight stainless steel valves intake and exhaust. The chamber opened up and the valves unshrouded nicely by Joe Alaniz at Alaniz Technologies. The lightweight valves and retainers make this head easily capable of 10,000 rpm. The final CR is 10.3 to 1.

Photo 0.5mm oversized SS valves.jpg[/PHOTO]

Photo fc5a389b.jpg[/PHOTO]

The exhaust is directed with a modified TODA header and passes thru an Amuse titanium dual exhaust.

The driveline includes J's 4.44 gears, Comptech flywheel and ACT pressure plate.

Thanks to Shawn at Church Automotive Testing for tuning the AEM EMS that runs everything.

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.

That's the range that I want my S2000 to be at when I'm done. I'd shoot for 400, but I think 350 is a good, balanced number.

Someone has alot of money!! Looking at the dyno chart, i noticed that your redline is increased. Did you change out the internals of the block besides the headwork? How reliable has this set up been for you? Drooooooooooooool.thumbsup.gif

Sideways...
Great numbers. You've totally done it right and not taken any shortcuts. Also, I love the fact your car is a total sleeper. It looks great but doesn't nearly "look" as fast as it is GREATNESS!

We just bumped the redline to 9500 rpm. The block is stock except for the oil jet bolts and totally reliable to date.

Aren't the IK24s just one step colder than stock? If so, have you thought about going 2-steps colder, since you're planning on getting the 9 lb pulley, and running a 9500RPM redline? Just curious... I have no idea what the actual "correct" heat-range plugs would be on your application.

if you do anything, make it very understated.
I'd love to see you blow someone's doors off b/c they underestimated the car!thumbsup.gif

I have both but since it is running fine with the 22s I felt one step was more than adequate initially. They still need to stay clean and hotter runs cleaner so I think one step colder is prudent.

Yeah, RegaMaster = Spoon = lightest 16" rims that you can buy for our car, but I do agree that they don't look that good. biggrin.gif

With the raised 9500RPM rev-limit, does your tachometer's red-line still flash at the old red-line? Or does the ECU control when the tach flashes?

They're Works my friend...

And the exclusivity or $ factor doesn't make 'em look any prettier to me either.

My friends 82 Carolla has wheels that look identical to those... no joke! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
