I finally spun the Vortech Supercharger to the max yesterday and it is putting out 1.25 BAR of pressure at 9300 rpm with a 3.8 inch pulley.

Zaino time again. It needed it with the swirls that have built up over the last year.

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.
284.3 ft lbs of torque at 9400 rpm

Great Tread...Sideways....
I love my CTSC and how it fills the engine bay...
Finally some hope for me and fellow Superchargers...
All those turbo guys got me worried by their changeover from SC to Turbo and saying that there was Night and day difference and I think this comes in the same category when compared to stock and near stock SC.
This Tread made me Keep my SC...I wanted and I still want to Upgrade my CTSC now.Do you know of anybody doing this to the Comptech..sorry for not doing a search first..Also Your all polished Setup is Great...

Long Post but you made me a Believer...SC way.Even if Turbo S are faster I am sticking with my CT. Ha,ha ha.
Very very warm Greetings from Macedonia...

By the way I have Few questions on Few things...
1.I Saw on Ebay the Ferrea Valves for our car and they were 1mm oversize..Do you have this brand?
2. I have been hearing things that the Internals shouldn't be Mirror like Finish -they should be more like Satin finish because the Mirror Finish isn't Good?Do you know anything about this.
3.Have you any take on that?4-1 and 4-2-1 for the SC?

Sorry For the Long Post but you made me a Believer...SC way.Eve if Turbo S are faster I am sticking with my CT. Ha,ha ha.

Thanks for the Kudus.
To answer your questions, 1. I'm running Manley valves. 2. General rule of thumb, if there is fuel in the air use a rough surface. 3. 4-1 is generally considered better for SC.

No 3.90s yet. The 4.10s are great after using the lower gears for the last few years.

I had it on the dyno yesterday and the increases I had seen and felt were not there. I was expecting about 50 hp more that what what we got. It was only boosting about one bar (14.4psi) with the 3.8inch pulley. That is down considerably from the 1.25 bar (18psi) recorded with the old belt previously. I installed a new Gatorback belt and tightened it before driving over to Church's but apparently it needs a little more tightening.

The efforts did increase the torque nicely. I was running very rich for some reason and Shawn leaned it out 6 or 7 percent. With tuning the final run is shown below. The boost by that point was only .95 bar (13.8 lbs.)

Funny cause I (4.57) shift into 5th just a few meters before the 1/4 ends...you should be somewhere at 8500rpm in 4th with 4.1 gears...wtf am I missing here?

...and 1.2bar confused.gif  eek.gif  eek3.gif
I thought only your head is "done" so how come your pistons are still under the hood?

When I only had 310 whp and 4.57's, I, too, had to shift into fifth before crossing the line. This was on the stock rev-limiter. By having similar experiences, I can say you must suck at launching just as badly as I do! rofl.gif 2.2 60' time on a road course alignment(-2.5 rear camber & 380 springs rates).

I only had Laskey's Stage #2 head work- no port-n-polish. Running a 2mm head gasket(9.88:1 compression) and had routinely hit 1.4-1.5 BAR. RPM's are a beautiful thing! wink.gif On a dyno today, my laptop recorded 20.06psi. The gauge read just a hair over 1.4 BAR. Because of this, I believe my gauge to be fairly accurate.

Forgot to ask, Sideways, what shift beeper are you using? Just found out that Modifry's light/beeper only goes to 9300. I need something well past that. Thanks. smile.gif

I tightened up the belt. biggrin.gif By my calculations it's pushing about 530+rwhp. The exhaust is really holding it back so now it's time for a totally new exhaust system from the headers back. It's in the research and development phase currently with exhaust guru Jack Burns at Burn's Stainless. The total system should be ready for dyno testing in a few weeks and finalized this Summer. biggrin.gif Can you say 560rwhp? I hope to be able to. smile.gif

Wow!!! Is this still from a 3.8 pulley?? Mine is really tight and I only see about 16.5 psi. O and if you don't mind me asking what injectors are you using now?

Congrats and can't wait to see the final numbers!
