S2000 tows like a champ!
First off ... let me just say that most everyone that posted in the beginning of this thread is a dumb ass. If you want to read some history, and have some time to kill digging through all the BS from said dumb asses, click the link.
Anyway, I wanted to share the results of my towing "test". I have a video of me pulling the boat out of the water, but I need somebody to host it (1 MB). Any suggestions?

I'd say the clutch and drivetrain (and motor, for that matter) aren't designed to tow, let alone lift a 3000 lb boat out of the water. the lack of low-end torque, coupled with a fairly lightweight clutch and drivetrain, spells trouble IMHO, namely dramatically increased clutch wear, as well as strain on the motor.
but hey, it's your car, you're free to do whatever you want with it. personally, I'd never do that. but that's just me.

towing nice and slow won't damage the car at all. I'd say you'll put more wear on the car running it on a track than slowly towing this boat.
to help, he got a 4.77 rear end. there's more than enought torque multiplication.

but, he had to have ridden that clutch pretty good to keep the RPMs in a decent powerband while pulling that boat out of the water. I'm no expert, but I'd say the wear-n-tear would be significantly higher than what would be encountered on a typical track day. just my gut feeling though, as I said, I'm no expert.
