Lift in T1? Looks like it came to rest against the fence beyond the apex of T2?
Driver and passenger walked away with minor injuries. But the rumor mill seems to be pumping out a number of different stories, such as whether it was the owner of the car driving and his son the passenger or whether it was the other way around.

Gee, thanks for this posting, Mike! Turn 1 is, for me, by far the most hairy part of the course--you're going maximum speed, you can't see the apex, you're going around a curve, and you've got to keep on the gas. These pictures don't make it any less scary, but they certainly drum home Egon's (love that, BTW) safety tip.
I was at PR on a rainy day in September; as the track started to dry a bit, speeds picked up. A guy going slower than I realized in front of me tapped his brakes heading toward the apex of turn 1 (just after I had turned in and realized I was catching up to him real fast
). I guess he was going slowly enough that he didn't spin or flip, but I was not so sure that I could back off and not spin or flip, and I didn't want to run into him. I elected to keep on it, straighten out in the lanes/run-off space to the left of the apex, and gently slow down, to a speed low enough to then get back on the right track safely. Such fun! I am a bit more careful now about how close I get to slower cars at that point on the track!

Wow, that car really took a beatin'. I don't think there is one straight body panel on it.
