Default Map Sensor Whack

Just released from Honda today, December 3. New Service Bulletin 04-073, "Intermittent Hesitation During Hard Acceleration". Install new map sensor and holder kit, part number 06176-PCX-000. Also install tie wrap Part number 32125-PCX-003, to keep the plug firmly connected to sensor. Warranty coverage is 3 years/36,000 miles, but eligible for goodwill consideration if out of warranty. Just thought some of you guys might like to know.

Is this an entirely new part? I mean, is it a different part # from the one that came with our car?

A part number starting with a zero denotes a new revised part according to our Parts Dept. Since this just came out today, and I haven't seen the new part, can't answer with total certainty. Sorry.

I just called my local (Bellevue,WA) Honda dealer. It sounds like the part is an "updated" part. The parts guy ordered it and the tie wrap for me. When it comes in I'll just go into the dealership and have them put it in even though I could easily do it.

- can we just "get" the new one from the stealer?
- that way when/if it ever goes out we can just change it...

Just got some more info. The MAP sensor and holder kit includes sensor part number 06176-PCX-000 AND tie wrap part number 32125-PCX-003. When purchasing the kit, there is no need to also purchase the tie wrap. Suggested retail price for the kit is $64.38. If you ever need to purchase a tie wrap later on, suggested retail is-------$6.47!!!
