Default Proud new owner of Berlina S2k!

Just got back. What a fun drive back from Wilmington! Minus the occasional rain. I am the proud new owner of this berlina s2000/MY2000/16k odo!

Here is my photo story book....

Taxi arrived at 6am in front of my house to shuttle me to LaGuardia. The cab driver was annoying and wouldnt stop talking! It was too early for me to chit chat, so i called my work voicemail to make sure my out of office was working.

The weather is horrible as predicted, it is pouring and i am just hoping my flight isnt delayed.

I get to Charlotte with about 30 min delay. it was ok because my 1 hour layover was now only 10 minutes. But the clouds looks like trouble in charlotte as well.

On my connecting flight to Wilmington, i sit between to two fairly large men. I am squished in like a wedgy at this point. it doesnt help that they both are brothers and have packed munchies in their carry ons. So i had to listen to them chomp on pretzels and other snacks for 30 mins. But I was to be rewarded...

Wilmington Intl airport is not intl at all. The entire airport is no larger than a upscale Motel/Hotel. But the weather was unbelievable, for now. Cam (previous owner) picked me up and we finished up the paper work and made the exchange. (note to self) Wilmington is a great town to possibly move to in the future.

Here is a typical new construction house there. I am so sick of NYC/Tri-state home prices. Even though i am an owner and it has appreciated.

So i look over the car and it is like new man. In all honesty it was too late to back out for me but i was not suprised by anything! Car was in unbelievable shape!

But it was time to go home.

Wide open roads and weather was in the 70s. I was pretty much feeling like a god, since the weather forecast for rain was so wrong!

About 30 min later as i get onto I95 it starts to drizzle.

Then Pour!

I had to deposit some liquids myself so I pulled over in a rest stop.

There is a hwy, I295, in Virginia. I highly recommend it for speeding! I hit 1XX here. Sorry no pic of speedo, was focused on driving. Map

Here is a bridge you cross on this road...

I made a stop over in DC to rest and have dinner. Came home today. this leg of the trip was a piece of cake, 3 hours.

Odometer when I got home

I just detailed the car for the first time. I have yet to name her. Any suggestions?

PS: Thank you so much for making this a 100% risk free/worry free purchase Cam! Let me know when you are in town and i'll take care of you.

Very nice pickup..I had my eye on this one to.

Good story. I've never read one like that before. Nothing terribly exciting but kinda cool none the less.

Beautiful car!
