street wars was a blast!!.....it was moved back to sunday cause of rain on sat.....there was well over 100 street cars racing and even more there just for the show.....no S2k's except for mine .......i got tons of perks all day though cause i smoked 2 late model mustangs early on and the one was a '01 cobra that i clipped by half a car length at the line.....then the 2nd was a GT i took by 3 car lengths.....my 3rd was a turbo civic that was running only 5 lbs of boost that i took by about 3 car lenghts also......and the only race i lost was a nissian 240sx swap (hybrid) that was turbo'd running 17lbs of boost from a T-28 and claimed 319 HP at the wheels.....he took me at the last second by half a car length......not too bad for an all motor honda at a heavy 2800 lbs.......my S is definitely running stronger everywhere right now and my AEM EMS is coming in next week!!.....so i will post dyno #'s ASAP....my buddy joe's civic hatch was the talk of the whole track as usual.....he smoked every single car up there that wanted a piece of him including drag cars with roll cages that were running cheater slicks....its sick......only 10 lbs of boost from a bone stock LS motor and turns in mid 12's from real street tires!!....i'm thinking of building a turbo CRX right now....our s2ks are just to damn heavy!!! i need to drop about 800 lbs!!! LOL .....next race is JUNE 18th.....let me know who's going ........you don't have to race if you don't want to .....the car show was even bigger .....later, BILL

Bill,

Did you get your new seats yet? They would have to save you 800 lbs.

Sound like a real good time.

i was going to buy those seats as my next purchase for around 1 grand for both.....but this 74mm throttle body i just got on has really messed up my Air Fuel ratio much more than expected..... the ECU can't figure out what is going on......its idleing really rich and wants to stall out.....and under full throttle it is still way rich....(my upgraded fuel pump is partly to blame)...amazingly the car is still much faster than before with no fuel tuning!!.....but i had to purchase that AEM EMS unit for $1400 bucks so i can smooth things out and get the car tuned properly......its coming in this week and i will have it on the dyno within 2-3 weeks so i will post my results.....i'm expecting big gains cause it really needs tuning right now, the seats will have to wait till next purchase .......or at least until i can find a set that will drop that 800lbs i need to shave off..... LOL

Yea, please post them. I curious to see what kind of gains you'll get from your mods on your ap2.

well the S went on the dyno today......right before me was a 600 wheel HP mustang cobra(it was pretty awesome) his pull started at around 40 mph and ended at the top of 4th gear at 140 mph and only took a matter of seconds to get there.....at 3500 rpm he made 636 ft. lbs of tq. on pump gas WOW!......man was that thing loud......so then my session was next......i baselined at with my J's header and 74mm TB on since the last session up 5-6 HP from 6400 rpm up to redline and peaked at 210 HP at 8100....just as i expected....a little more power up top than the last session with no fuel tuning and poor fuel economy.....so now the AEM plug and play went on in place of the stock ECU.....things are not as easy as what you might think they are.......man is that unit complicated.....we did find our way to upload the baseline setting AEM developed and programed that into the new ECU......started the car and it made a full pull.......the first thing i noticed was watching the wideband gague i couldn't believe how much leaner and more consistent the A/F ratio is during a full pull.......fuel mileage will not be and issue now.....the bad news is their baseline settings do not make more power....in fact it actually made 4 less peak HP and was off my original run by a few HP everywhere......so now the tuning came into play......what an adventure.....there are so many things you have to program into the computer and the adjustments are endless......my tuner was lost with the unit.....and wasn't familiar with AEM's system.......so we decided to just to leave it at that safe baseline and i am going to take it to an AEM specialist shop from here......so for now i still haven't got anywhere other than correcting my fuel milage...until next episode.....LATER, BILL
