- Driver Side: Bosch 16s - £8.50 s is for the spoiler

You don't have a section for "leaking roof seals" or "motorway wind-noise" from the hood, both of which would be (have been!) very useful.

I had a problem with wind-noise at high speeds and a leaky hood which was due to wear on the hood striker plates meaning that the seal wasn't tight enough. You link to a thread on replacing the striker plates under "Rattling Roof Catches" but it would help if there were separate sections for those problems - it's a bit of a leap of imagination to go to rattling roof catches to resolve the problem!

QUOTE (Bassoctopus @ Jun 28 2005, 09:54 AM)
The part numbers for the S2000 are as follows (Standard 99 to 2007 inc. JDM / UK models)

With Air Con = 6FPK1470
With out Air Con = 6FPK1138

I don't run aircon and bought an 1138mm belt, there is no way this will fit.
The one I removed was an 1163mm so someone might want to check the information on that one, unless the 1138 is from a US model and any ancillaries are located differently ??

Make your roof catches adjustable to take up wear, stops leaks and and wind noise.

More about roof leaking - adjustments etc.

****************************

If your elastic hood straps become limp (probable life 4years) I've described a DIY way to make replacements in the following thread.
Worn out straps can cause problems with the hood not folding properly.
Can cause the catches to tear the hood if really bad but normally the symptom is a hood that doesn't fold down flat.

DIY strap replacement

A sharp area on the hood frame can cut your roof.
A simple mod to stop this happening-worth doing straight away as it is a very common problem.

Alternative material for covering the frame:

Want to look up a part or an exploded part drawing?

With the proviso that the parts shown are for US spec cars and prices are in $ and the ref. numbers might not be the same in the UK, still quite useful wink.gif

MY04-05-06 clutch delay slave cylinder removal - fed up with that awful smell of burning clutch plates?

MY04-05-06 clutch delay slave cylinder removal

****************************

Clutch Fork Greasing Guide:

1) Jack up/raise the car securely. It should be high enough so you can get under it.
2) Remove the (2) 12mm bolts that hold the slave cylinder to the transmission.
3) Remove the rubber dust boot from the bell housing and remove the slave cylinder. Support the slave cylinder so that it does not hang from the hose.
4) Pull out the shift fork as far as possible. You will not be able to remove it, as the fork end is larger than the hole where the dust boot was.
5) Put very little high temp grease on the fork and on the roller pivot of the fork. I used Valvoline Syntech high temperature grease. I couldn't get my fingers in far enough, so I used a combination of an old knife and a piece of 10ga solid wire to apply/spread the grease.
6) Push the release fork back onto the release bearing. This will "pop" on and stay.
7) Put the slave cylinder back onto the bell housing, making sure the ball of it fits into the recess on the release fork. Replace the (2) 12mm bolts and tighten.
8) Lower the car and you are ready to go!

Whatever you do, DO NOT PUSH IN THE CLUTCH PEDAL WHEN THE SLAVE CYLINDER IS REMOVED!

Also... Sticky Clutch

Down shifted 4 to 2? Mechanical over-rev? Cracked retainers?

Can we add this in:

Avoid the use of fuelparts Lambda sensors, the response time is different from the OEM Honda lambda sensor. The problem is when the car has stood for a length of time and is still warm (around an hour or two) the car splutters, jerks and kangaroo's for approx 15 seconds the it adjusts fueling correctly after this time and drives normally, it can be quite dangerous especially pulling out of junctions.

Best to use Honda Lambda sensors, Denso, walker etc.

I was looking for a part number and came across this site, can we put it in the FAQ as it will be most useful?

It has all the parts number and pictures which you can zoom into the find the required part no.

http://www.honda-parts-catalog.com/hpc.php

The current one in the FAQ does not seem to work anymore http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/

Thanks

Can I just add that the rear window cleaner from BMW has now been discontinued. They do however have another Version which is a glass cleaner but also does a great job. The New Part Number is 83 12 0 009 881. Hope this helps.
