Default Tein Type N1 dampers

Just wanted to know if anybody have tried or owned the Tein Type N1 Dampers.

Anybody know where i can find the upper pillow mounts for these? In the TEIN USA & JAPAN website they do not list such part available.

Do the people that have these use the stock hats?

EDIT: ADDED GRAPHS TO THIS... WILL DO FOR NOW UNTIL I GET IT DYNOED....

Left graph is front shock, right graph is rear shock. You can probably figure out the rest. I'm not a math person, so i have no idea what this graph is telling me. I'm more of a person who likes to play and diddle around with settings and see how it actually feels on the car.

I highly doubt you'll find anyone with these Giff as the board is very anti-jdm when it comes to suspension and no one wants to be the guinea pig (cuz it's expensive) to get a set and throw it on a shock dyno to see if the damping looks good.
For the top hats, you might be able to order hats made for the Super Racing, RA, RS and they may fit (try calling Tein USA, tho, good luck finding someone there that knows something). Cusco also makes top hats that may fit (I know they fit more than just Cusco, I've seen them on other brands, but forgot which ones). And you can get custom ones machined and made.

i figured not many people will be using these. anyways, would anybody know any information or part # regarding pillow upper mounts that will fit the tein type N1 dampers for the s2000?

the springs i'm using are tein racing springs with an id of 58mm and a length of 150mm.

i know n1 rules do not allow pillow upper mounts. but for my dc2 before, the tein type N1 had 58mm id upper pillow mounts available.

i also see on j's racing website that they make a 58mm id pillow upper mount. are pillow upper mounts universal?

thanks jai...

ps. i think i might be willing to be a guinea pig to test these shocks on a dyno since their is very limited information on these coilovers. i wasn't going to dyno the shocks for the tein SRC before, but now that i have the N1 i might just do it.

I would be interested to see how they do. These and the Buddy Club P1's or whatever are both supposed to be a little more serious than the other JDM bling coilovers. But whether they actually perform, I'm pretty skeptical. Let us know what you find.

Giff: you got them already? I thought you were waiting for the SRCs.

I'm not sure if all upper mounts are universal. I haven't seen enough of them. But I have seen Cusco upper mounts used on several brands of dampers. JIC also sells their upper mounts separately, so there's another option. It'd just be whether the center will bolt down or not. I think checking if Tein's upper mounts for their other models will fit the N1 would be the best starting point.

Here is a part number i got before for the Tein N1 Dampers for the DC2-R.

(PRH66-31S58) It's the same for front and rear.

Does anybody know if the integra tein n1 upper mounts will fit the s2k?

Tein USA seems not be responding. Anybody know people inside of tein?

I doubt the DC2 ones will fit. I meant looking into whether RA/RS/SRC upper mounts for the s2k would fit the N1 damper. If not, perhaps Cusco, JIC, or some other brands will. If all else fails, custom machine baby!

If you need JIC upper mounts, I have a full set of JIC coilovers with 12 kg/mm springs, etc. sitting in a box in my garage. I don't want to part out the shocks (just sell the top hats and get left with the rest of the suspension to sell), but if you want to part them out for your project, make me an offer for the set.

Yea, Nobody does run Tein RS's..

I will let him chime in if he likes it or not. The car seems to be handling as well as my KW V3's at Buttonwillow.
