I purchased a set of big brakes for my ap1 and the suplied spacer wasnt large enough, I had to put on a larger spacer but I could only screw on my lugs 2 full turns. Now I need either longer studs or different wheels. My question is how hard is it to replace the studs on the s2000?

No, I am not driving it in its current state.

Those studs are pressed in. Which the limited space behind the stud, the wheel hub needs to be taken off the car and the studs pounded out or pressed out.

I guess you could say that. I didn't want to put a rating on it. Some owners might think it was a simple thing to do. I've had to deal with wheel studs before. It's not my favourite thing.

You have to remove the hubs, which seperates the wheel bearing inner race from the bearing.

It's adviseable to replace the wheel bearings at the same time. It's labor intensive, and requires a hydraulic press.

does the wheel stud replacement require a press or just the wheel bearing???

You can hammer them out but a press sure makes it easier.

does anyone know the length of the factory stud??? Im looking at buying the arp 2.85 long deals.

Both highly reccomended. You'll need 4 wheel bearings to replace all the studs.

You don't need a press, really, if the bearing is good, there's no point of doing it.

you need a BFH(big f_cking hammer), a block of wood and alot of self control.

it's pointless to ticking the stud with a cute hammer for an hour, all you need is two/three angry whack.

the installation is easy, just keep tigthening the thread and the stud will settle in, that's the way for accord/prelude/civic
