My JDM Foglights for my old Prelude cost me $500, and the look was complete once they were in. Looked very classy. I think the same of these.

Just stumbled across a set for sale brand new for $50US + post if anyone is interested.

Question is, do you get a lot of fog, or do you just like annoying other drivers by driving around with fogs on all day.

Sorry, a bit bitter about people constantly blinding me caoz they think fogs are kewl.

There should be a law against them. Hang on, there is.

Well yes, where I live, i get fog. I come home at 10-12pm at night, and because I live in gulleys and hills the bottom of the hills fill up with cold fog. I find the S2K better to see with low beams in the fog, than the high beams.

How else do you explain my hitting 2 dogs, another dog, a magpie and a kangaroo [In the S2000!]? My driving isn't THAT bad biggrin.gif tongue.gif

Anyone who drives around with foglights on during the day, is a wanker.

I just like the look of them, for the fact I think they give a car a completed look.

For a simple example, see below my old car. Now which looks better / complete wink.gif

I never really understood why Honda put the holes in the front bar for them in the AP1, but never made a foglight for them? Its stupid.... And to prove this, they take them out on the AP2... *shakes head*

ECS ...

you can solve 2 problems with one solution . Just slap on some chrome rims , the reflection you get not only gives your better lighting , but from the side will deter any wild life from running out in front of you thumbsup.gif

im sure if you had your way , you would want to band chrome rims for the same reason ? cool.gif tongue.gif

seriously ECS .... i think it looks good , just go for it ... dont pay attention to what others say on here cool.gif
if i did that i would have a combe over and have some kind of light weight "performance" rims on my car !!! eek3.gif thumbsdown.gif tongue.gif

The Beavette loves her fog lights on her subaru impreza, she got told off by the police in Mona Vale a while back. He drove past her and stopped and said.

"Fog lights - foggy"

"No fog lights - no foggy"

Then he told her to turn them off and just drove off.

She still drives round with them on.

The question is, why? They only seem to illuminate the first 5 metres of the road and toast other's retinas.

Never understood them myself.

do you really find fog lights blinding? they point pretty much as you said, straight at the ground...There was a nice 5th gen lude driving towards me today with his fog lights on...i must admit it looked pretty nice but it was the middle of the day...I didn't really find it annoying at all..

However in Melbourne we get alot of fog and the highbeams seem to make it worse in thick fog because it just reflects back and you end up with a big yellow screen infront of you...just using the low beams is enough...

Vuey, if you think it looks hectic then you are concerned about what others think. And most people think you're an idiot for having fog lights on when there is no fog.

Yes I do. They are actually a non focused light and not angled down at all. SO effectively you have double the wattage pointing straight forward. It is very distracting and the law agrees, but seldom backs it up.

Looking in my crystal ball I see a change where the law makers realise there are people who put some deluded sense of style ahead of others comfort and safety and crack down hard on excess lights. It'll be a three point offence and they will enforce it. And then a bunch of fuly hectic ricers will get the huff.

The sooner the better I say.

does it make a difference if the car has reflector or projector housings? my old car had projector lens fog lights...anyways the HID low beams are good enough in the fog...

ECS, don't be insulted by my remarks here. It is just my opinion and I think I was a bit grumpy that day.

That said, I do believe it is important to consider the safety and comfort of others if not the opinion. Some people respond by being an ass in forums, others by kicking in your door. I know which I prefer.

I checked the law on this when we bought the wife's Jazz. In NSW (at least) it is illegal to use BOTH the high beams and the fog lights at the same time. I never owned a car with foglights before so I wanted to make sure it was not going to be a problem.

missed reading this post .

my comment has been taken out of context .

i think it looks nice , as in having them in place of the dummy vents ( should of made that clear - my bad frown.gif ). I wasnt joining the debate of the legality of having them turned on during the day time . As i know it causes a distraction for other motorist . I usually got the oakley x-metals on so no glare from fog lights are gonna bother me . You on the other hand with those funky armarni / gucci / versarce sunnys might have problems tongue.gif

i dont understand it either why people drive around with headlights / fogs on during the day time with sufficient light conditions redface.gif
