Wanted to replace my Odessy with a smaller more economical car so I got this. Ordered Aug. 28th and came in today

my car got hit last monday when it was up there (they had my car parked to the right of the oil change station).
lady backed into my car... first time i have ever seen my car parked there..  |

Question for all you (self-styled) experts out there.
 When my Fit comes in, I'm considering tinting the windows. My concern is the longevity. Since I'm planning on turning this car over to my daughter as her first car (she's 4 years old now), I would rather not put on something that won't last, or that I can't either remove and replace easily enough. So, does window tint look OK after 12 years or so, and if not, is it a big deal to remove or remove/replace? JonasM |

tint isn't too hard to remove. i've done it before.
i don't know about tint past 5 or 6 years.. the longest i've owned a car with window tint is 6 years..and the tint still looks fine. lifetime warranty at most larger / reputable location helps as well |

A friend of mine just bought a Fit and I got to check it out this weekend. I was impressed for sure.
I had been thinking of buying a 2-3 year old Civic sedan as a daily driver, but now I would like to swing a new Fit. Awesome buy! Dan |

Right now, be prepared for a long wait unless you want an Automatic. Manuals are only 15% of the production, and few dealers get more than 2 or 3 per month. (That translates to one manual every 3-4 months). But you might get lucky if you're not picky about the color. I've waited since June 6th, though Sam got his in a month. But it is a really nice little car. The handling is what got me. It's definitely the crispest handling you'll get for the money. JonasM |

There's a show on Speed that modified a Fit and put huge freakin' brakes on it.
As for tint, i have some going on 7 years now. They did have to redo the rear window (compound curve), but like Mocky said, the good ones have a lifetime warrenty. --------------------

Stay with the metallic tint. It doesn't fade. I had it on my old S4 for 6 years and it was perfect. It is called LLumar I believe.
It will reduce your AM reception though. wasn't a real problem, but noticeable. -------------------- I have no cool cars anymore

I am not even in the market now. If I bought one it would be in a year or so at the earliest. My friend’s was an auto, and he still had to wait 2-3 months for a blue one. A co-worker of mine bought one off of the lot with no wait, but she took an auto sport in whatever color they had. Dan |

Got the Fit about two months ago. The only thing I don't like is the position of the gas, brake and clutch, as they are too close to driver. The M/T is giving me great mpg's (33-34) which is why I wanted a 5 speed. Handeling is supriseingly good even with the stock tires. Took a couple of pics today when I went for a ride in Mill Creek park near me.
