doesnt have to do w/ the 38mm gate not flowing enough.

it has to do w/ the manifold design and wastegate placement.

Trust this man and his Skillzzzz. Stage 6 FTW.

Along the same lines, how reliable has the inline pro kit been for everyone? I'm thinking of getting the basic setup with aem ems and having it installed tuned by evan's as well. Lastly if you don't mind asking, what was the total price of the install and tuning at evan's?

Ill let you know when she's done. Jeff didnt do the AEM install, I had it done by Don at straightline performance here in NJ. Evans Tuning is only doing tuning now, no install or anything. He told me to go to straightline and will finish it up himself. Ill post the dyno graph's when its done. Im so excited

Sounds good. How did you get the car to Evans after the install? Did you put it on a trailer or did you have a good enough base map to gently drive it there?

Anyone else with the inline pro kit that can speak to the reliability of the basic kit with a good aem ems tune?

Have you seen my post after 1yr of having the inline pro kit??? I've been running perfecly fine with the inline pro kit, always with my power above 400whp for way over a year now. I'm currently running over 500whp on the shitty blue box(greddy emanage). I have been running like this for quiet awhile now and i know of another s2k with more hp on the same blue box with the inline pro kit. Inline pro has proven themselves over and over again, look at there website, 900 hp cars on the log manifold design. They hold records in a couple of drag racing classes and i'm shooting for a 10sec pass on an off the shelf kit. So now ask yourself, is their kit reliable??? hell yea

now for people who keep saying STOCK BOOOSTTTT, what the hell is stock boost??? there is no such thing.

Thanks for the info arod. It seams a lot of people are having great success with the inline pro kit which is great. It has pretty much cemented my decision to go with a turbo setup vs a supercharger. Also I would consider "stock boost" to be the amount of boost that you can make reliably from just the kit and some sort of engine management. So this would exclude any boosts that would need larger injectors, headgaskets, bolts, etc.. to keep it working reliably.

Also arod I was curious as to if there are any problems running it in the cold weather? I see your a northeasterner as well, do you run your car throughout the winter? Does the emanage work well with the colder temps (any cold start issues)?

I work all the time and dont have time to wrap up a whole day to get it down there. I have only driven the car once in the 3 weeks Ive owned it. I had it trailed down which was convenient because AEM Unit was DOA, i.e Dead on Arrival. Car is currently at Evans Tuning and she wont even start with the AEM installed. When they swap back to the stock ECU, it starts right up. confused.gif

AEM has great customer support and it dont get any better than Evans Tuning so its just a matter of time till the beast come home....right in time for snow season

send it back to AEM and they usually get one right out to you within 24 hours. I encountered the same problem more than once with the AEM units. In my case there were bad drivers on the board. WHich they replaced immediately and sent right back out. Jeff knows what to do...

The AEM box was bad, so Andrea from Evans Tuning sent the box back to AEM. They are sending me a brand new box that should be here today or tommorow. Ill keep my fingers crossed, thankfully everyone at Evans Tuning is super nice and the folks at AEM are very helpful. Hopefully ill have it back next week.
