I help with the community outreach program at circuitcity in mayfield... this sounds like it could be a benifiting event... give us a booth , and my xm + sirius rep a booth and i'm pretty sure we can donate products , we sell everything you were just talking about and sounds like we can get something good together... Like the ideas tho

It takes between $2500 and $3000 to make a dream come true. I think it can be done.

Make-A-Wish is a great cause - if I ever actually buy an S instead of being a chronic lurker, I'll definately be there. $10 is a non-factor and you are smart to start planning early, the efforts will pay off. From what I have read on these boards, this group seems to be both active and very good-hearted. Keep the thread near the top, the winter months will be critical in the planning. And Ray, I vote for sinister.

j/k.

I talked to Bill about this a few days ago (where is my logo btw light.gif ) and the first event was big with only minimal planning and space restriction. Next year, with a year to plan, and more space, this event should be significantly bigger. There are different awards given out.... even best S2000 driving.gif
This event, along with the Arthritis Foundation car show, will definitely be two big events for us in 2007. I hope everyone can make it. thumbsup.gif

Bill, if you need any help, you know how to contact me.

Here are a few pictures from the '06 event that Ray took top s2k award in.

Thank You for all the ideas. I like the beer one but it would not happen. I have a few hot female friends (belive it or not) and they would be interested walking around the show selling tickets for the Chinese auction. I have a Sirius and XM unit to go along with the Ipod and Bel995. I do expect some other high end prizes before this is all said and done. I just got a Honda train set today. Pretty cool. Its made my Lionel and its the large HO scale. Perfect for around the Xmas tree next year.

I could use all the help I could get on the day of the show. I will never turn down help. Just something as simple as telling guys (and gals) where to park is a huge help. I think 105.7 is going to do a all day remote and set up the giant juke box. That should draw a crowd right there.

Im all for sinister. I would love to have more NSX's. I did not get any last year. I need more info on this Honda-Tech site. I guess a guy from last year sold his TL and purchased a RL - A-Spec. He is in. Keep the great ideas rolling in and email me personally if you have any questions. 1osunut@sbcglobal.net

Thanks - Bill

First off Happy New Year to everybody !!!!!

Now that inventory is over and the holidays have passed I have been working frantic on plans for the BIG Jay Hondafest June 9th. Here is what is for sure.

Magic 105.7 will be doing a radio remote and they are bringing their giant boom box vehicle.

I have alot of early sponsors setting up booths: XM Radio, Motorola Bluetooth, American Racing Wheels, Lewis Electronics, Motomotion, Black Clover Clothing Co, Line-X and Dent Wizard are in. Fidanza also is interested.

We have added several more classes so everybody truely fits into a specific class.

We have the same cook from last year and have added a food trailer that will be making elephant ears and other fatty fried foods (Yum). The cost on the food this year will be cheap with the money going to Make-A-Wish

There is also a Directors Gold Cup Award which will be picked by me - (now excepting bribes)

The Chinese Raffle continues to grow as Motorola just threw in a deluxe integrated bluetooth system.

The two sided heavy stock flyers are being printed and there is a real nice supercharged white S2000 and a cool blue hardtop S2000 on it. Im also making full size posters so if anybody needs a poster to hang up at their place of business, repair shop or anywhere else that will help promote the show contact me. Any help advertising will help.

I still am open to ideas and help may also be needed. My goal is to make this event so big that we will need an off campus site in a few years.

Thanks, Turk

1osunut/Bill,

It looks like this is shaping up to be a well-support, good-cause event. If it wasn't for this event falling exactly on my son's due date, I'd be there. I'd still be interested in supporting it. Do you have a way to paypal donations or participate in the raffle?

Thanks,
Gary
