Default opinions on Megan racing rear antibump steer kit

hello,

i just wanted some opinions on the Megan racing BSK as im looking at one for my ap1 and was wondering if these will do the job

anyone with feedback on these? build quality and up to how low of a ride height can these be used for?

they look very similar in appearance to the GFL ones but was wondering if these work as good

They do indeed look very similar to the GFL ones, at half the price. Might even be worth checking out to see how they perform.

It looks more comparable to the J's racing kit and the GFL Race kit since both have the monoball mount while the GFL street version has a bushing mount.

Great price indeed compared to the J's racing and GFL. But even at 186, i bet megan racing is still making a large profit. It looks like they copied the dimensions of the GFL street kit and then put a monoball mount. Thus, they avoided the costs of research and development. The marginal cost to produce these kits is probably less than 50 dollars (just a guess).

Too bad no one posted this before i got my j's bsk. I could have eaten really well this past month if i saved that 200 bucks .

Well, there are some development costs, but they can't be all that much. I highly doubt that they needed to copy anyone else's dimensions. It's probably more the idea that a market exists for these which was the important revelation.

The TCD parts (street version, anyway) use a donor stock set of control arms. Those are $50 each all by themselves, so even before other hardware and labor costs you are looking at $100 in materials. I would guess it's another $100 for all the other hardware, leaving about half the price for labor costs, inventory costs, and profit. Pretty reasonable, IMO.

The Megan version appears to be more like TCD's race version. It's probably priced for a lot higher volume sales, and with that higher volume they probably have access to lower costs for materials and machining.

Seems like somebody should order them and try them out.

Are you going to order them off their website? I can't seem to find anyone else selling these.

Except for one small detail. Both GFL race and J's use Aurora heim joints. Megan's does not. And it appears that the threads are welded on the joint housing.
