2007 Spring Mod Day @ Marysville Honda, Saturday - March 31, 2007

2ND ANNUAL SPRING MOD DAY

Last year Popeye and Mocky did a great job with this Mod Day. We had a great time with 28 attendees (2006 Spring Mod Day Thread).

This year we'll plan to offer everything we had last year and more!
Popeye, Rogue3308 (aka VADER33), Scott Evil and I met with Marysville Honda's Jeff Pister to begin working out the details.

We need your feedback to make this great event even better this year - see below items in red .

For those of you not familiar with Honda Marysville...

This year they were the recipients of the exclusive Honda Dealership "Presidential Award." This award is only given to the top 10% of the dealer body. Marysville is the only dealership in central Ohio that has earned this award and the first Honda dealer ever to earn it in their second year of operation. The award evaluation criteria includes:
-Training of Associates
-Selling X Amount of Vehicles per Year (2nd year they attained this)
-Service customer scores

Besides great people they have top-notch equipment. Marysville Honda has one of the newest, most sophisticated alignment machines available. Doing euro spec alignments are well-known by Marysville Honda and are piece of cake on this machine. The care they take when mounting and un-mounting ensure no marks on the wheels, which really make the difference to enthusiasts like us.

DENT REMOVAL
Dent removal will be priced car by car depending on the size and severity of the dent. Their will be special club pricing on a per car basis. We will also have Sly on call for detail work and touch up if you would like.

Any additional items can be emailed to me, I will have Brad Lohr, our Asst Manager price the rest of the items case by case. I would also like to start blocking appointments soon for this so we allow enough time for each car and are staffed correctly. We will allow a 25% cushion for any additional items that come up that day or new arrivals that might show.

Also, given the number and complexity of some of the services, Marysville Honda is willing to open up Friday for any local people or early arrivers that might want to get things on Friday and have Saturday to hang out, do a dyno run and enjoy the day!

Also, Rich (Ubetit) has offered to a wax and wash demonstration that day. As many of you know, Rich has used and reviewed many of the products out on the market and is an active participant in the Wash and Wax Forum. I think we could all benefit from learning the proper way to keep a car looking better than when it left the showroom!

Dent Removal Services
This went very well last year with great results.

LIVE BAND, BEER & PIZZA...
Arrangements are being made for an AWESOME wrap-up to the Mod Day weekend. Benny's Pizza Restaruant next to Marysville Honda will have the outdoor stage and bar setup for our group! They will have portable tent equipment if weather is not as favorable). We're currently working on having a live band. STAY TUNED!

Hampton Inn near dealership
We have been given a special rate of $74.00 per night. This is $5 less than the corporate rate they give to American Honda. They will make sure their staff is familiar with the special pricing for that weekend. This would include Friday and Saturday night.

I need a valve adjust and a Koni Yellow shock install.

They have any wheels that fit my 97 Civic?

They likely do if 06-07 wheels will fit the 97 Civic.

I remember Jeff Pister saying they had quite a few "factory take offs" from cars that were upgraded at the dealer. Sounded to me there are deals to be had on those, while supplies last.

I'll email Jeff Pister to find out about wheel offerings that will fit your 97 Civic.

Rich, I am going up Friday if I am back from NY in time to get a ECU re flash and look at SI wheels. Pister said he had a bunch of stuff.

GB- Fluids, shocks, front and rear sway bars, and allignment on the NSX.

Exhaust, fluids, springs, intake on the SI.

Subject to change as I may do some of this at home.

I'd like to go as well. What is the valve adjustment gonna run? Are those services for free? I'm not entirely sure I need it done, but its in the 40K service I believe, which I did except that.

Also, I'm gonna see if my buddy from NSX Prime wants to make the trip down from Detroit. His handle is Blodi.

same here... almost time for valve job and check the timing belt tensioner

We will be updating the list with prices shortly (valve adjustments are not free, but it is at a discounted price), and yes, we will have a caravan from Cleveland... I'll post more information on the caravan in a few weeks

I might be heading down on Friday night though, but I'm sure I can organize it.

Wish i could make it, but i'll be top-down in Florida. Post pix, i'll be online looking!

Hopefully this winter will have run its course by then!!! It wont be a very fun mod day with our winter beaters there or driving a S2K in any sort of snow.
