THE CHICAGO REGION of the SPORTS CAR CLUB OF AMERICA
is offering a 2 day SOLO (autox) driving school on
Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1

Not much event chairs can do about the weather, but on the other hand, how often can you practice crappy weather driving and not worry how may times you'll spin? 
i'm definitely going to try to make a few events during the season this year. also had a friend who just got a mustang cobra (i think) who's pretty interested in going, so i'll have a little more motivation now.

)Talk to your friend, I'm sure we can pair him up with a great instructor, probably one who has a similar car too. It's a little easier that way than say have someone who's driven mostly FWD cars instruct someone with...oh say... an s2k

The emphasis here is on the driver, and how to improve him/her behind the wheel. The car you drive is just a tool in this scenario... well, there are just tools out there that handle better than others
