Not much event chairs can do about the weather, but on the other hand, how often can you practice crappy weather driving and not worry how may times you'll spin?

hey, you were my instructor, right? i'm definitely going to try to make a few events during the season this year. also had a friend who just got a mustang cobra (i think) who's pretty interested in going, so i'll have a little more motivation now.

That would be me

Glad you had fun at last years school despite the weather (although i did warn you to bring more than a t-shirt and a jacket for the 2nd day )

Talk to your friend, I'm sure we can pair him up with a great instructor, probably one who has a similar car too. It's a little easier that way than say have someone who's driven mostly FWD cars instruct someone with...oh say... an s2k

As long as the car (aka. no SUVs) passes safety inspection (no loose wheel bearings, working brakes, not sticky throttle pedal, securely attached battery, no loose objects in the car - empty trunk, working seat belts) you're good to go

The emphasis here is on the driver, and how to improve him/her behind the wheel. The car you drive is just a tool in this scenario... well, there are just tools out there that handle better than others
