Default Glass Roof Converison Complete!

Got my robbins roof on Monday- 4 day shipping = awesome!

Had most of Wednesday and a bit of Thursday off work, spent the whole time cramped in the back of the car, leaving the garage for toilet and food breaks only.

13 hours later, and I couldnt be happier!

The conversion was a good learning experience for me, I pulled pretty much every thing from the centre console back off, including the roll bars and had a garage full of interior bits and screws.

Suffered a few mishaps, lost a screw here and there and had to send in a search party which did take abit of time up. Also suffered a flat battery due to all the lowering and opening of the roof.

The robbins roof, is every but as good as the OEM great quality. The supplied instructions were pretty much worthless, and I went by with the online help of s2ki.

I have one crease in the roof, hoping the exposure and keeping the top on will sort it out, if not have to pull a few panels to get it smooth.

It was a shitload of work over the 2 days, but it was so worth it, saved heaps of cash doing it myself, and it is much better than the plastic window.. now I can see if its a taxi/nrma or the policia from afar... very handy.

Will post pics up shortly of the conversion, along with a few in progress snaps.

If I was to do it again, I could probably do it much faster.

Took the car for a spin to get teh battery charged, with one roll bar fitted, and all the interior removed including roof, and passenger seat, spare, amp, and sub, car felt like it had two F20c in it hahaha.

Dam! 13 Hours. I'm not sure I could handle that.
Job well done.

Post some pics.

Yeah I did! Had to call my g/f's bro in for a hand when it came to the rivets other than that I was on my own.

Bargain if you ask me! But yeah it would work out quite a bit more if you had to pay for the install, and rightly so.
