I've herd bad things from the 2Jz swap.
They have to cut out the cross member and cut into the firewall. The engine is mounted to the frame itself. So I don't know. No 2JZ for me, lawsuit waiting to happen.

The only people that make negative comments seem to be those who know absolutely nothing about the swap. Unfortunately I can't control much of what is said by those who know nothing about the swap such as your self.

"They have cut out the cross member"
Yes I did. I also replaced it with a quarter inch thick "STEEL" cross member much stronger than the stock cross member that came with the vehicle.
You can see the new cross member below the A/C line

"They cut into the firewall"
Yes I did. The motor is recessed a 1/2inch into the firewall to distribute the wait of the 2jz better. With that being said the section of the firewall that was re-worked does not have some huge hole in it. It has been closed back up to fit around the 2jz
Here is a pic of the firewall looks very nice to me

"The engine is mounted to the frame it self"
This one here proves you know absolutely nothing about this swap and have not read the 10 plus pages dedicated to its build. Not only does it mount in the "same location" but its also sits on a set of "stock motor mounts" Half the mount is s2000 half the mount is 2jz. So please before you make comments make sure they are 100% correct. I have included some pictures of the mounts so you can see that this motor mounts in the exact location as the motor that is in your car.
Thank You. Have a nice day
