Default Would anyone be interested in a rural run?

I don't know the rules on this sort of thing. I'm not a member, I don't have an s2k but I may get one..In any case, I'm friendly with most everyone in DelVal so it should really matter.

Onward, I was out driving today and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a rural Lancaster County run in mid-late summer this year? I know all the backroads around here, and could plot a very nice, rather slow, scenic route through the hills and forests and farm land. There's a beautiful nature reserve we could visit, maybe hike some trails and since most if not all of us are of age, we could do dinner at the Black Angus/Stoudts Brewery.

Interest? I'd want to do this after I get my FD back and tuned which should be mid-late August.

Interested. All depends on timing. With 4 kids, planning is everything.

Any performance car is welcome. Hell, it'll be a rather slow paced run(most speed limits are 35mph, so the average speed will probably be between 35-50). My Saturn SC2 can handle that, so bring what you want. I'll be driving an FD. My friend might go, which would be another FD.

The hard part is going to be plotting a nice scenic route with as few stop signs and traffic lights as possible. I want to do Wabash Road, it's one of my favs to drive, but there are 5 or 6 stop signs in 5 miles, so it'd be pretty boring. Right now, I'm thinking of starting on 897N, running up to Maple Grove Road, taking Maple Grove to Alleghenyville to 10N to 724 to 625S to 568/272, then I'm stumped. That run right there would only be about 30-45 minutes tops.

Then there's also the starting and ending places. Probably gather somewhere along 30, maybe at the intersection of 10 and 30 at the Wawa or something. For ending, I was thinking a restaurant somewhere. There's Musso's for good italian food, Black Angus/Stoudts Brewery, but I hear it's very small inside and I've never been there, then there are tons of small diners, a very popular(but small again) ice cream shop Behringers...suggestions are very welcome

Also, I have a friend starting a RX7 meet on the rx7club, so I posted a link to this thread in there. As things start solidifying, I'll start keeping track of the people who are in and I'll post the official route.

When you start firming up the details you should post a new thread with all the specifics Re: Time, Place, Length, Route (if possible) etc.

If you build it they will come! You may be surprised how many people will come if you put it together. I believe I know a punk with a Barbie Blue NSX out in that neck of the woods
