I would imagine this calculator is if it were the perfect driver/conditions etc........I mean what does 1/4 time really matter, its an S2000 not a Mustang. I would rather see the 20-80mph times or something like that, for a good 1/4 time you need a lot of low-end torque, something our cars don't really have,. Am I also correct in saying that even though there may be cars that are faster 1/4 times, that doesn't mean they would beat the car on a roll..........

luis ftw

to be honest, i am not going to care about my ET, but more my trap, when i go to the track in the sprin. If i can get 120+ with my 400+whp setup, ill be very happy. I have stock diff and really don't want to break more stuff on my car by getting the wheels grab from a digg!

Stock Diff(i know i am going to break but i will upgrade and do the conversion for the r200 when mine breaks) i launched about 5200

Try launching at less than 3000 rpm and maybe your tires will have a chance. Launching at 5200 rpm is for NA dudes with no torque. You will just burn and burn with all that torque unless you get some super sticky drag radials.

--------------------
Dark Sideways

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.
284.3 ft lbs of torque at 9400 rpm

Hopefully there are no c6 owners on here. biggrin.gif

The pass below is a 12.21 at 114.3. I gave the vette the light and pulled him by 2 car lengths on the other end.

I have always launched this car at 5500rpm and feathered the clutch. In this video you can really hear how much the clutch was feathered. I would always pull 1.8X 60ft.

It takes practice and once you get the hang of it you will know immediately.

lol....that shit is on the $$$$ my car made 704 whp and traped @141 and it said I sould run 9.6 ......cant wait till spring

Good luck with that, I drive a 70 duster with about 700 at the crank on motor and it has been a 9.90 with a trap of 147mph. And this car is built to do nothing but drag race. You have a lil more power and are about 300lbs lighter so it can be done but you will be the first. I dont think there are any S2ks in the 9s yet. I know inline built there car to break 9s but dunno if it ever did.

either way, good luck! It would be pretty sick to see it break 9s

I just try for trap speeds also....the last I got was 121mph.....

I didn't really care about the ET, it shows since I got a 3.0 60 foot and 13.2 1/4.

The last time I tried for ET I got a 12.6...then broke my half-shaft on the next run trying to lower that time a little...not worth it anymore.

These were all done when I was running 392 rwhp....so about 2 years ago.

Who are you tell me what my car made. INlinepro tuned my car so PM one of those guys ask you dumb ass. Dont ever make any assumption about my car. you wouldnt say that sh*t if i were standing in front of you.

Sorry to all you other guys, but i hate rude ass people.

First of all I don't write checks with my mouth that my ass can't cash.

Second of all, get off your high horse, unless you are talking about an F250, 470whp is going to trap a hell of a lot higher than 116 mph.

Stock C5 Z06's trap 116 mph with 100 less wheel horsepower than you in a heavier car.

Either you suck at driving, which is proof by your 2.3X 60', or something is wrong with your car. Either way, 116 mph and 470whp is impossible unless you are letting off or pussy footing down the track.

Do yourself a favor and:

1. Upgrade your drivetrain to the inlinePRO R200 kit.
2. At the bare minimum get a set of DRs; ideally you would get a set of slicks.

Launch ~5000 RPMs, hold on, and say dayum that was quick when you get your timeslip.

Wheel spin can be attributed to tires/track quality, but more often than not it is caused by poor driving skills. A skilled drag racer can produce decent 60' with street tires and an ok track by launching well (modulating the throttle) and shifting quickly.

You got the sickest launches I've seen on a s2k  thumbsup.gif

The video of this launch is my favorite.

There is a little story behind this video. I showed up to a domestic car shoot out and just happened to be the only import there. It is hard to get any respect when you are driving a two door convertible

1.The nova did his burn out ………
2.I did my burnout……………
3.He revved a few times at the tree
4.I smiled biggrin.gif

I ran a 12.18 at 114 with a 1.81 60ft
He ran a 13.01 at 115

I did red light on that pass. I left a tenth early but I pulled two bus lengths on the other end biggrin.gif
