Pretty quick. Car is running the Juice BoxHHR, with a full catless TBE.

HOLY CRAP....

Someone should secretly install one of those in a suburban mom's 335i.

My brother has that setup minus the DP, the acceleration is nuts.

The DP's made a noticable difference...I have DP's (catless) with an otherwise stock exhaust and a different piggyback and the car is seductively quick.

IDK

Pretty much the M3 is ~$15K more.

IDK if you put $5K in mods on a 335i then you are at $10K difference and the resale of the M3 should be ~$5K more than the 335i after 5 years (my guess) so the M3 would cost $10K more up front but be worth $5K more in the back (so a $5K difference).

Note: I am assuming $5K in mods for a 335i and nothing in mods for the M3 which I don't know if either would be true. I suppose people could spend less than that and make the 335i similar quick to the M3.

IDK if the M3 prices are going to come down (except for pre-owned), maybe the sedan will be a SLOW seller and that's what I want anyway.

I am starting to think the 335i is the way to go, as the M3 probably will be harder to make a good deal on. Only bad thing is all 3-series come with sunroofs except the M3s and I dislike sunroofs.

That's a good analogy.I love my 335i but it will never be an M3.Nice thing is you can mod it (for power at least) inexpensively. If I could afford an M3 I would buy it just for the sound of the V8.Only thing is I would feel guilty for driving a car that gets such crappy gas milage as a DD.The 335i has a very good milage to power ratio, best I have ever owned.

The maker of the Juice box with drag radials and down pipes, exhaust(with cats) and intake on race gas just pulled an 11.8 1/4 mile in California
