Sorry for the crappy Sony Cybershot pictures, but for now this will do. The car has a bit to go, but definitely coming along. I can't wait for the end result. I will try and post pictures of the Laskey Built Motor, Intercooler Piping (Gloss Black), and the rest of my set-up. I AM REALLY EXCITED!!

Well the thing is I wanted a perfectly reliable car and the capability to take all the abuse I could throw at it. I definitely think my reason for building was more for solid reliable motor during abuse (I know stock can do it, but I wanted to build), but a little extra power never hurt. I know some people build for 500-600WHP+ but to each their own. The end results should be able to speak for itself. BTW, I never supported the idea of a 3mm headgasket because it seems like a band-aid fix, but if it works I wouldn't complain. Thanks for all the help and support so far!

I had AEM EMS, but I know when all my buddies went from AEM EMS to K-Pro in their Integras and RSXs and all they drove close to stock with extra power. I drove the car with K-Pro already before I did the bigger injectors and all. The car was making 404WHP 238WTQ and it started faster than stock, never had temperature issues and it seemed to be easier to tune and a favorite for tuners. The car ran like I bought it with the turbo from the dealer. It is an amazing ECU, but don't get me wrong with enough time and effort an AEM EMS can probably do just as well! James D. |

I think you've made a great choice. I too went with Laskey for my block and head and went with a fairly conservative tune. I daily drive my S and I've had no problems in 15000 miles. Having the built engine is very confidence inspiring because you are nowhere near its limit and it will last forever. Good luck, drive safely!

I was told that Competition Clutch are great. One of the fastest S2000 is running the same clutch and loves it. It is not that quiet I hear, but it is effective and my car is loud anyway. But my power settings and the clutch will be a great combo.
