Default Stock vs Lid Removed vs AEM V2 intakes dyno'd

Had some testing carried out on my 07 S2K yesterday before I had the AEM V2 installed.

Tests carried out as back to back as they could be considering the install time of the AEM.

Here is a graph comparing stock vs stock with the top cover removed. Sounded nice but lost power everywhere.

Next up stock VS AEM V2. Sounds good on full throttle...especially when the Vtec kicks in.

Video of S2000 with AEM V2 on Dyno

Seems to have lost a bit low down but gained from 4500RPM onwards.

Also had my sidelights for whiter items along with the xenon bulbs. Will post pics in a new thread.

See how different days etc effect the dyno readings as i mentioned before, you got 238BHP bone stock last time

No doubt the AEM add's a wee bit of power, but i also think during your install time the car needs time to get upto optimum temperature, I presume it would have cooled down during the AEM install, when the cars fully warmed up to optimum temparature it will yeild more power.

Thanks for posting up the results, a good read

You got WHP figures?

P.S AEM does sound awesome on WOT i had one a while back.

Fully aware of difference in dyno readings hence taking a new baseline for the tests. The intake temperature probe was not used to ensure consistent readings and no correction by the dyno.

I was suprised at how much power was lost by removing the lid of the airbox.

I'm not surpised by power loss with the airbox lid being off, but i am surpised by the amount

What I take away from this is that the AEM DOESN'T lose you power, unlike the lid off the airbox.

So we get to keep the power, and we get the noise.

Money well spent

Nice one FX

Just had a blast around Bedfordshire roads with the roof down. It sounds fab. Much more grown up. I like it.
