As much as I love the S, a track is diferent than a b-road because you know what's coming on a track - even in the wet.
On a wet road, in terms of pace, I would choose a DC2 over an S2000 any day of the week. Which is one of the reasons I have gone for a cut slick --------------------

Also dont forget, a track has continous smooth tarmac made from the same grade of tarmac, not like UK roads at all, not to mention all the oil diesel and petrol thats been dropped on them all those years, along with potholes and different camber.
