Its a nice car, but not as "connected" to the driving experience as the s2k, IMO.

Yeah, after the visit to NYC, and seeing the condition of the everyday cars, I decided against it. I would have a stroke if I ever had to street park it for anything in the city. I would rather see it off in its current glory than see anything happen to it. Insurance does not reimburse CRAP for stolen mods, and the current "book value" of a stock MY00 with my odometer can't be more than $10-12k...

I am getting a Jeep Wrangler for the city (something I can put steel bumpers / wide tires on, tight turning radius, decent power, 4x4 for the snow, will have hardtop, dog friendly... it just makes sense. And the top still goes down. ). Probably going to try and locate a 1st gen miata chassis to drop a turbo f20c into it... for the weekends. Really need to find some garage space for it, though...

Thanks Man. I will try and get some pics up of the exterior as soon as we have the motor pulled, and its off the rack. It will probably be week or two before its "ready" to roll out. I just posted this now to see if any potential buyers (who were serious enough to put a down payment up) would have an engine preference, as it will be their car... So far no one, but I am not suprised. Just thought I would put it up to get the thread out there, and in case of the 1-in-a-million shot some millionaire is trolling on here, looking for a fun weekend toy.

We had a yard sale today, and I could not get rid of that other alpine head unit. If you want it, you can have it (and an iPod adapter for it) for $30 + shipping...

yeah i know what you mean but if your live in a building with a garage or if you park in my garage (15-20 minutes) from nyu your car will be perfectly safe. trust me i park my scer 07 s2000 there with no worries in my mind. its in a private apartment complex so its very very safe. and at night after 7 pm you can park in the city without worries. when i go out ot dinner or a bar and i get home late its a lifesaver. after 11 pm you have to wait sometimes up to an hour for the bus and cabs start getting expensive

s.hasan546 - It was not daily parking in garages that freaked me, it was the occasional trips OUTSIDE the garage that worried me.

silverstone S2K - Willing to trade? Definitely looking for AWD for the weather up there in the winter...
