Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why isn't your torque curve flatter? I don't understand why a GT30R would not hit peak torque until 6500 RPM. Is it because you are pushing so much PSI?

i believe it's because of the .82 AR. a flatter/earlier curve you're looking for is maybe referring to a .63 AR curve? th_dontknow.gif
Its peaking the same place others with .82ar gt30 (passman)

EDIT: but not as flat i think is because of my HFC.

Very very nice!
Why is the torque falling off so much though, your cat and exhaust setup?

EDIT I see someone just asked the same thing right as I posted this..

Thanks Sonny!
It was custom since that was the first time they did a "Full Race" brand manifold. It really contours to the shape of the mani. Same with the fuse box blanket.

They do however have many patterns for other popular turbos, just not the GT30 ponder2.gif

To the person that asked why your power curve looks the way it does....bisi it seems doesnt really lower the vtec much and it appears thats why you spike so hard right around 5500-6000 when the motor comes on the big cam. You should lower vtec if its not to like 4k because the full race manifold wants vtec lower, it will give a LOT more midrange. I use a log with that same turbo and make less peak torque but drop off a lot less as well. You are pushing that compressor and turbine wheel to their maximum with the #'s your getting so its normal for torque to drop some.

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.

I see. I don't mind welcoming extra mid range, or extra anything. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll bring it up with Bisi on my next visit. I have total confidence in him thumbsup.gif

And it definitely hits HARD at 5500. Kinda like warp speed. I like it. biggrin.gif
