I have searched the site to no avail.

Does anyone know who has good deals (if any) on the SuperSprint system? I know they have to be out there.

Good luck! It is a rare and expensive exhaust! It is beautiful though! It isn't big enough for me though. I think it is only like 60mm.

^ I bought the Supersprint exhaust from them. Be aware that they put it on the slow boat from Italy. It took over three months for me to receive it from the time I ordered and paid for it.

It was then shipped from Supersprint NA. The exhaust came in three parts, the mufflers were shrink-wrapped in plastic and thrown in a box without any other protective materials. Consequently, there was a dent on the cannister, and there were holes in the box where some hardware fell out.

And the center piece with the resonator was just shrink-wrapped, no box or anything to protect it. The UPS guy just handed it it me with a puzzled look on his face.

The quality of the product leaves much to be desired, both in terms of build quality, and engineering. It looked pretty cheap, and the sound tuning was unsatisfactory to me. It sounds great at WOT, is relatively quiet on light thottle, but drones like a mofo on load and drop throttle. All this for for near $2000!

I've learnt my lesson. From now on, I'll just say no to Supersprint. I was very dissapointed, and feel that they don't live up to the hype. They don't come close to the quality offered by competing Japanese and American products. Just my 2 cents based on my experience.

It's an exhaust that's a bit too hyped up. I even doubt that the exhaust offers much gain with its diameter size. Isn't it quite heavy as well since being stainless steel?

glad to see an detailed opinion on this exhaust. I've been tempted. for the price you'd think it would be handled like a baby.

they must not have a very good angle on the jdm market then.

every supersprint exhaust i've seen has been on a high performance eurocar and it's one of the best made and best performing exhausts for the car as well. this includes my actual experience from SS on my e36 m3. best sounding and best performing exhaust on that car thumbsup.gif

too bad they couldn't do the same for the s2000.

I'm still not sure due mostly to the cost.

Just have an exhaust shop tack on your OEM tips to an aftermarket system. You'll get the OEM look with aftermarket sound/performance.

Resparking this thread since I'm down to the:

Supersprint ($1800.)
T1R70EM ($1300)
Greddy SE ($1100)
Fuji ($900)
Invidia Q300 ($650.)

Any other Supersprints out there? I hear pros and cons to all these systems, not just the SS. Given the list, I'm obviously looking for an OEM look with a "should of had this from the factory" sound. Quite the cost spread though, eh? SS is at a major euro/dollar disadvantage. I want the best sound with reasonable gains. Don't care if I have to spend more to get it. Fart cans are completely unnacceptable.

I had a SS on a previous 911 and BMW and they were both fantastic. This S2000 application has me wondering, though. Some say the T1R is too loud, Greddy/Invidia have the cheesy ricer blue tips, Fuji can be raspy, etc, etc.

With the slection of systems for this car, seems the decision would be easier...

Anyone look at Magnaflow? i paid like 550 for mine 3 years ago and i absolutly love the exhaust. Added the test pipe a year later and for pretty much 600 bucks and i have a pretty unique and distinct sounding vehicle. I love it.

That is a valid complaint, it does drone, It is very apparent with the top up, but it sounds real nice with the top down. I just deal with the drone it produces.

I have the Supersprint on my AP2 and love it.
I think it's the best looking exhaust for the AP2.
Mine too shipped plastic wrapped, however it had no damage.
Delivery time was 3 weeks.
Had Fujitsubo before, however it did not look good on the AP2. Exhaust cutouts on bumper are too big for any exhaust designed for AP1.

The longer I own my S, the more dumb I think it is to spend $1,500 on some bolt on that offers barely any gains to our car. Some exhausts known for no drone and sound decent are either made mostly in stainless steel (which adds weight), or have smaller diameter.

Price wise, it's best to just get a used exhaust that is in mint condition.

How would you compare the sound of the Supersprint with the Fujitsubo? I recently installed the Fuji and think it satisfies the "how it should have come from the factory" criteria... No drone, a bit louder and deeper tone than stock. Is the Supersprint similar? Louder?
