I get no respect, A Fit wanted to race

I was out breaking in some new parts and a couple guys in a Fit challenged me to race. What is this world comming to?

After a quick greeting the light changed and they were off rather quickly for a Fit.
And rather quickly after that the red and blue lights on a couple motorcycles lit us both up.

I was driving like a little ol' lady and not racing. Why me?

After about 2 minutes the cop removes his helmet and gloves and approaches my car. I take my straw hat off and look him in the eye and say "this better be good." He took one look at me with my gray balding head and said "thank you sir, you may go. Then he went back to his motorcycle. Off I went wondering about the whole thing. No license, no registration check, no POI, nothing.

The guys in the Fit were sitting on the curb as I drove by.

I think what happened is they thought I was a youngster and they were going to have some fun with me. When the cop realized I was much older than him the game ended.


They like to pick on the kids and not the wise older folks.

That's age discrimination. I recommend you write Barbara Boxer, Pelosi, or the hot congresswoman/senator you Californians have (name forgotten) and take a stand!

I know the S2K beats the Fit stock for stock. My point was that I want to know what he has done to his car recently.

I broke my rear end and just got the new one in. AP-2, Comptech reinforced, cryoed 3.90 gears put together by puddydaddy. It's polished too.




I'll be doing some cam tuning in the next couple months and will post up.

For the time being, it's running the four hundred horsepower tune.

How does cam tuning work? How does it affect horsepower and torque? Got a link?

I once had a couple of fatty's in a tahoe try to race me in Fayettville...They could have been in a Jet car and I would have still won, they were....FATTTTTT

It was kinda funny, i had the windows down, and it was dark out...they were flirting at first, then they saw my wifes legs and the "skirt" that she had on and got pissy and wanted to race. Later that night on the way back from dinner, @ diff Scion TCs tried to race us. After ignoring them all, a cop at the gas station asked me what I was doing, that there had been reports of a Black RX7 that had my plates racing up and down SKIBO RD....

After explaining where we had been the last few hours, and that I dont have an RX7(CR) he was cool..."probably just some stupid kids"

My wife says that its a good thing that we were both dressed up, if we were in our normal jeans a tshirts we would prob have gotten arrested(both heavily tattoo'd)

I had the same basic thing happen to me when I had my Evo. Guy in same color lancer ralliart trying to get me to race, and the cop pulls me over. Stomps up to my car, face red, takes one look at me, takes a real deep breathe and gets real polite real fast

He was expecting a someone about 10-15 year younger, not a mid 30's guy wearing a tie.

nice, i have one of those rear ends as well. How off is your speedo now with the gears? Mine is off a little, but its not too bad compared to what i thought it would be.

Just fine tuning the yellow box today. Looks like 3000 rpm in 6th is 60 mph.

With the 3.90s just hit it at thirty in first and hang on.

It is reading low by 1.5%. When it says 60 mph the car is going 61 mph.
