Pulling into Cars and Coffee Saturday I ended up behind a polished aluminum early 50s indy style race car. The thing was huge with tires as wide as a semi truck.
Going around one turn and I could see two giant carburetors sticking out on a polished manifold. Turning the otherway and I saw the two giant carbs on the other side.

Turned out to be a '52 Blastolene Special with a Sherman tank engine.

More torque than 5 Corvettes.

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.
284.3 ft lbs of torque at 9400 rpm

I see a possible swap with that engine in my S2k in the near future.

I doubt it. A car with 29.3 Liter (that's not a typo) V12 making 800-1000 horsepower in that body probably moves pretty good.

I'm sure you wouldn't pull him when you hit VTEC.

Gearing isnt really key when ur making 1000hp and probully 1000 foot pounds of torque, he can have a 2 gear transmission and still destroy us.

I figure a 445 width tire is pretty wide...
445/50R22.5

Of course it's hard to find that tire in a soft tire compound.
