Like i said i don't know what supercharged S2000 on average run but the one on my track runs low 13s and that's around danger land especially fior slightly modded Srt8 s this is no R/T charger this is a Srt 8 lol

Like anything it depends on driver skill, overall car set up and track conditions. I know a guy who puts down about 330WHP who runs 13.2@110. I know of another guy putting down 316whp and runs 12.9@111

Oh...and here is one of my fav FI s2k vids:

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Turbo-S...Vs-C6_77565.htm

Not an SC, but turbo running 9.5psi (so about 350-380whp depending on tuner and dyno). 12.21 at 114.3mph

I mean of course it depends on the driver i mean even in my HR 350z stock i'm running 13.1-13.3 13.2 average but that's after owning Srt-4s, Evo 8s and years of drag racing. I bet the average gets like 13.4ish something and there is no doubt in my mind that a S2k with forced induction would run low 13s even with an average driver. I have a buddy running low 13s to almost flat with a supercharger i mean the s2k is light as hell it's like 2800 some pounds with driver no more than 3000 pounds and 330 WHP is a lot of power for 3k weight. All i'm saying a bolts on or a modded S2000 would not be able to compete with 370z, HR 350z, Srt8 s it would definitely take forced induction. Possibly full bolts on with 4.77 gears but that would risk your top end where the Srt8 and NEWER Zs eat people. I have a lot of respect for the S2000 man don't think i'm trying to diss it or anything lol i've been wanting to buy it but forced induction is the way to go with them. but when I speak of racing i'm usually automatically talking about 2 competent drivers and basing it on the cars ability.

QUOTE (negcamber @ Sep 19 2009, 10:29 AM)
From a dig and from a highway roll are two very different situations.  Most FI s2ks at the track are very traction limited on the launch.

From a roll however, the situation changes.

I would say that the OPs car is probably putting out around 350hp to the crank.  That's just a guess based on the whp (not even sure what kind of dyno his 311whp number was made on) and what's normal drive train loss.  Chrysler says the Charger makes 425hp at the crank (not sure how conservative that number may be).  But just looking at the power to weight ratio for both cars (estimating 2950lb for an SC w/aftercooler s2k), the SC s2k has a clear advantage.  Which actually leads me to believe that the SRT8 that the OP ran probably had more than an exhaust or an exhaust makes a 100hp gain on the SRT8.

300whp nets you 110mph (give or take)traps on a car that weighs in around s2k levels.
an srt8 can trap that and more (modded)....
(that's assuming the car making 300whp has a broad powerband... most sc s2000s don't)

ets are a little pointless as this wasn't from a dig, neither party launched....and let's face it, the srt would be faster/more consistent at that anyway.

I think the results are expected.

I just think that the srt8 would win like i said it would take a supercharger or turbocharger for the S2000 to beat it consistently, I don't know i'm just throwing ideas around. you can never tell until you race one.

My best friend has a srt-8 charger, when I got my CR we did highway pulls from 40mph, I only had the TI-C exhaust at that point but 40-60 we were neck and neck 75-90 we pulled on me slowly, and from 100-115 he was 2 car lengths ahead of me but no advancing... I would think a supercharged s2000 would smoke a srt-8

Hmm i don't know man if you're telling me you were keeping up with a srt-8 with a stockISH S2000m I would really doubt that or the guy in the srt-8 did'nt know wtf he was doing. Most of the times you clearly do have idiots that don't know how to drive but trust me no way a stockish s2000 would keep up with a srt-8 that's fo sure i'm not saying that in a deragatory or disrespectful manner, i'm saying it because i've raced several srt8s with good drivers and trust me it's not as easy as it was in your case....So definately your driving skills prevailed over his.

please man... my buddy knows how to drive and so do I.. I have driven his car plenty also.. It is fast trust me any SRT 8 Charger is... but its also like twice the weigth of our cars, the larger engine only comes into play with the higher speeds in my opinion.. Never did I say I could beat him with a stock s2k, but he in no way blew my doors off from a 40mph roll to a 100.

Okay let's get the facts straightened out a little, the
charger srt-8 is 425 HP and 420 torque and it weighs 4083 pounds
Honda s2000 is 240 HP and 162 torque and it weighs 2820 pounds
Keep in mind on the track every drag racer knows that a rough estimate of 100 Horsepower offsets 1000 pounds of weight differential, you probably agree with that too.
so it weighs 1260 pounds more but has 185 more horsepower and 258 more torque!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I want you to read that and tell me what you think? lol seriously. I am by no means an American car fan boy i hate american cars but dude the figures are slapped right into the face. The srt-8 quarter mile time is around 13.1@107 MPH and the Honda s2000 is around 13.8@101 MPH that's a 0.7 second difference.

The Lexus IS F and M5 perform quarter miles 0.4 seconds better than the let's say 370z, STI, EVO stock i'm just shooting names and 0.6 better than the HR 350z blah blah so you're telling me if you HUNG with a 0.7 second quarter mile differential vehicle, I guess I can say hey the 370z, STI, EVOs and HR 350z would be rolling right next to the Lexus IS F and M5 HELL no , the 370z, HR 350z, STI, EVO don't even come 3 and half car lengths close to a IS F or M5 in the quarter mile, similarly neither will a 13.8@101 S2000 vs a 13.0@107-109 MPH Charger srt-8 that has almost double and two and half the torque! with 1260 pound difference

Look bro by no means am i calling you a liar at all, all i'm saying is with 306 HP and 270 torque I lost to 1 srt-8 by half a car and won 1 by half a car this being the charger srt-8 not the challenger or the cherokee. So I just find it hard for 240 HP / 160 some torque to hang by 2 car lengths when i'm hanging for dear life by half a car with almost 70 more WHP and 100 more torque, you get what i'm saying right? I don't know if it was automatic or manual? AGAIN PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT BY ANY MEANS a fan of dodge or any American cars, i'm just a realistic/straight forward guy end of story.
