well...i was only asking, i didn't know you didn't have your S anymore. but ill race your evo smile.gif

BUT heyy you have every right to call the bs.gif on sideways car...but he lives here in the same city as me and i've met him several times. when he says he did something hes not lying.

You can probably meet him too one-day at cars and coffee since you don't live that far away

I'd love to go against you...but am man enough to know when I've been out-matched. You are making some very good power on your S2000! I haven't done any mods to my cars since I bought a house last October. House > cars. Sometime soon I will get back to mod'n cars and would gladly look you up. thumbsup.gif

I've been a member of this forum for ~4 years now. I've followed Phil's threads from the get-go. Almost everyone of his threads has drawn ridicule. When I saw the title of this thread I knew it was BS because unless he went turbo there is no way (wait...maybe against a paraplegic) that he would beat a ZR1. The ZR1 is kicking butt in pretty much every category and although Phil has a nice S2000 he is far from being on par. smile.gif

I have NO problem meeting Phil and doing some fun runs. At least then the true story will be told. smile.gif

Exactly. Church's dyno is suspect..for sure. However, my Evo tunes were done on a dyno much more respected than Shawn's. smile.gif

I've meet sideways and checked out his car its plenty fast + he got a new diff. Last time i heard he was alittle over 1 bar im not sure if he is pushing more now but if you look at the power to weight ratio a 2800 s2000 needs 470whp + to keep up with a ZR1 so i believe this story.

Good Race thumbsup.gif

470whp to keep up with a ZR1 which makes 638hp, 604ft-lbs, weighs 3324, has better aerodynamics and gearing when compared to the S2000?

That's all fine and dandy, but he doesn't claim to keep up with the ZR1. He claims to have put SEVERAL buslengths on the car.

If you are going from let's say a 20-130 roll, and you put buslengths on a car that traps damn near 130mph...you probably have a 9 second car..700+whp, that traps 150+

or the guy in the ZR1 wasn't trying

or maybe you are embellishing the truth.

The Vett is by far a faster car…. I’m guessing that it was a set of circumstances (as stated) that let Sideways take advantage of the Vett, and allow him to do what he did.

Besides, Little does Sideways know, I added a Flux Capacitor to his diff so that when he hits 88 miles per hour….LOOK OUT cool.gif

There is no need to bash the guy or call him out over it, it was just good times he had to tell about smile.gif

I ran an Evo about two years ago from a stop light. My car is N/A with a 4.57 rear and an AP2 trans. I pulled the Evo hard a full two car lengths, hit 3rd and started to get out of it before he caught up to me.
No how is my car fast enough to pull an Evo but, for some reason I got this guy I’m sure he miss shifted or something but, no matter it made my week lol.gif

I powered second managing to keep it going the correct direction and saw him getting crossed up behind me. After a couple corrections he was on it and trying to reel me in.

Funny how people around here can type but cant read. Sideways pointed out why the outcome was what it was.

The 2-3 "bus lengths" may be attributed to the ZR-1 owner letting off while Sideways was still in it. Very possible for the ZR-1 not to reel him in as most people can't drive.

Here's a 13 second ZR-1 losing to a friend of a friend's van:

A stock ZR1 doesn't have traction issues...especially from a roll. If either car had traction issues it would be Phil's. wink.gif

DUDE seriously, stop bitching, ur like a little kid..
And if read them damn story u would see it was a hard turn onto the freeway, and yes the zr-1 would have traction issues if the guy driving it doesn't know how to drive and floors it and makes the car go sideways and then lets off to correct, it would take him awhile to catch up after that.

Next time READ. stop ur bs posting.

Even if it is fake, u dont have to have an arguement for every statement someone says, just let it go.

What is there to research? That's slightly greater than 15% drive train loss which sounds normal to me for a RWD car?

Either way this was not a legitimate race to begin with. If they were side by side from a slow roll I'd imagine he'd keep up for a bit but as soon as aerodynamics come in to play a S2000 with his power/gearing would have no chance.

This thread is nothing short of hilarious. This post may not be complete BS, but the fact that he thinks his car is faster than a zr1 IS complete bull. Have you guys ever noticed that the c6 z06 is already stupid fast, and pulls harder than it really should for its power? 128mph trap with 470wheel hp in a vette is crazy. Bottom line, that s2k would need crazy power(id tend to say about 550) To really have a shot at hanging with a zr1. His supercharged s2k isnt gonna cut it... Being able to drive or not, once he floored it and was straight hes gonna real a 400hp s2k like its standing still.
