Nice runs. Im kinda suprised that you didnt pull him the second race. Making about the same power and you weigh a lot less...he does make more torque im sure. You dont get any wheelspin at all?

It's not about peak hp numbers, it's about area under the curve.

Nice runs! The second run was about what i was expecting. An FPred Evo on e85 with the right tune can make ANYWHERE in the 5xx range...but id say for sure north of 540whp...if hes actually running the boost he should be. Your car is quick man!

He's on an FP-Red so I'd bet he's under 550whp. I know the tuner of his car b/c that guy also tuned my brother's GT35R Evo setup. It was a good run. I heard about the run a few days after you did it. Nice job man.

Umm, yes. Didn't I say my brother owns a 35r'd Evo?! I know the guy that Under Pressure raced, and my brother's car is more modded than his. It runs on Tein RS's. The thing handles better than my s2000. Last tune we had made 480whp on 24psi boost. We don't even have a high boost setup. So there you go.

Edit: Reread the post by nextinstant39 and edited my previous post. Apologies.

But EVO's are more practical....have 4-doors, room for 5 adults, AWD, razor sharp steering, decent brakes, and a large usable trunk!

Ill stick with my s2k honestly. You can drop the top, only have 2 seats ( better IMO ) a small trunk ( dont make trips in this car so no matter ), rwd ( i like it better ). I could go on but I wont. biggrin.gif

The quote about driving a modded evo was to the guy above me who said "the s2000 is more fun to drive"

Sorry, my post was confusing.

I actually am qualified to answer this. I've had an Evo IX on stock turbo making 400whp for the past 3 years. I recently picked up my S2k and had to make a choice. I decided to keep the S2k. I never use the back seats, the trunk (although bigger) can not fold down so what's the point, and no matter what I couldn't u-turn at any stop light I came to. Evo's are still great for what they are and there are many bolt-on turbo options, but it still feels like driving a boxy sedan no matter what one does.

RWD will always be more fun (this is my perception) than AWD. AWD will always have the potential to be faster, but in the end I never had "fun" driving the Evo at Streets or Big Willow, but I sure was fast. But time slips isn't everything for a car that I plan to drive everyday.

PS, not having cruise control also sucks!
