I was driving home from work today and I was cruising next to a new body style corvette ZR1 for awhile and didnt realize it was a zr1 until he pulled up next to me at a light. I normally only mess with the c6 z06's rather than the baselines.

Hes next to me and wasnt inching on me at the light so i didnt launch or anything. we both roll out in 1st, shift to second and in second i get to like 6k rpm and just look at him right next to me, he hammers his car in 2nd and immediately i did as well. were side by side, my car is all over the place spinning the tires. Shift to 3rd still spinning bad and the ass keeps wanting to come out. Im right next to him but slightly pulling on him while trying to grab the road. Shift to 4th and hook the tires finally! and just take off. he stayed on the throttle the whole time, I pulled on him in 4th BAD, shifted to 5th and continued to pull BAD and by mid 5th gear i let off because at this point i was ATLEAST 6 cars in front. Soon as i got off the gas he caught up real quick thats how I know he was still in it. He couldnt beleive how fast my car was. He asked my power i told him almost 600. I think he would have cried if i told him im on Low boost and on high boost my car makes 772whp. Atleast he was cool. Most domestic owners just blow by me after i shit on them without even a thumbs up.

Heres a link to my setup:

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.

The ZR1 is still a bad ass car. Just because there's a faster car owned by someone else doesn't make the car any less bad ass.
With that said, nice kill.

How the hell do you get anywhere? Why didn't you just fork over the extra cash so you could atleast go clockwise?? Damn, Ford is really cutting back on the options!

Do you use the traction control or speed dependant boost? I heard the traction control sucks.

at that power its about time to look into some longer gearing lol. I have seen 3.90's but I hear there are even some 3.63's or something but I am not sure. Amazing kill btw especially because of how aerodynamic those zr1's are!

Its on a single stage of boost, no speed based. Traction control does work very well, its all how you set it up.

I see. How does it actually work with keeping the boost at one stage? I'm just clueless at this point on how it works.
