I don't get it either, so I'm not one of the two. Google brings back something about Of Mice and Men though, which is oddly coincidental. I've done the set design, and acted in that play.

Well at least you didn't play Mimi Gladstein. wink.gif As far as I can see she is a biographer and critic. Hope Badger puts us out of our misery in the morning.

This reminded me of something when I walked round the woods in February, but I can't remember what it reminded me of. Lost on me now smile.gif

It looks like a brontosaurus to me. smile.gif

I could see the Zebra and the owl too. I didn't see the breasts straight away. Does that make me less of a man? confused.gif

Its an interesting side effect of the way the human brain is programmed to recognise shapes. So we "see" shapes and faces in losts of abstract objects like clouds and trees.

There is a small copse on top of a hill south of Swindon that looks like an elephant from a distance.

I could have sworn there was a post there last night that said something like "show me the zebra".

Which reminded me of the surreal sex "scene" from Chris Morris's radio show "Blue Jam", one of the exclamations in which was "Introduce me to Gladstein!".

There was a programme on TV some years ago about a guy who had suffered brain damage that had affected this ability.

So for example, when shown a Christmas tree he could see it perfectly, describe the fact the it had a tall green triangular shape, and could deduce from logic that it might be a Christmas tree. But he had lost the ability to associate what it was from what he could see.

Has been a bit of silliness in this thread but at least we know the OP is not going to get arsey about it. wink.gif

Actually it is quite a serious subject. I have discovered that in the Middle Ages shapes seen in natural objects were known as Lusus Naturae or Jokes of Nature.

Nowadays, science attributes such shapes to the power of the human mind to impose meaning on the chaos of the world around it. The phenomenon is know as pareidolia.

This is the face I mentioned earlier. I would imagine that the stump had the semblance of a face originally which inspired the owners to carve an enhanced version. I find it a bit spooky.

Full, near full moon, reasuringly, he's always there.

My kids (even at 12 & 15) still love to point out the rabbit. I hope, when tohe time comes, that their kids will see him to.

Let me know if you can see him MQ.

It is a bit cloudy here at present so I thought I would look at AE's recent moon pic to see if I could spot the moon rabbit.

Yes! Can't think why I have never noticed him before. He is sort of sitting on his hind legs with his back curved round the left side of the circumference. His ears are flopping downwards in the top right hand quarter. Saz is hoping that the skies clear so that she can point him out to Micro and her brother. Thanks to both Ians. moon.gif smile.gif

When I run down the gym, the pattern of sweat on the front of my t-shirt always looks like a silhouette of Satan with raised wings behind Him. It was actually pointed out to me. Since then I can't help but notice it in the mirror they always have in front of treadmills. He follows me on every run. When I get home the milk has turned sour and crows crowd around the windows peering in. Then all the lambs died...

Ok, I took it too far, but the T-shirt part is true.
