After installing 2 sets of aftermarket springs (skunk 2, tein) I've notice that the front is always slightly higher making the whole car seem odd. With my current skunk 2 setup, I was experiencing 1 finger gap in the rear and 3 in the front. After performing suspension pre-load, I am now experiencing 1-finger gap all around and ride much quieter now! So for all those who have not performed this yet and have removed the strut assembly in the past, this is highly recommended and free to do!

From an s2ki member:

1) ok jack the car up take the wheel off and set the car on a jack stand  2) place the jack underneath the hub  3) losen all the bolts (just losen)on the coilover like if your going to take it off  4) once everything is lose start jacking the hub up till all the weight of the car is is off the jack stand but make sure to leave the jack stand there just incase  5) tighten everything down and lower the jack and repeat to the rest of the coilovers if it becomes uneven just drive it around for about 25 miles and repeat the process as needed  hope this helps

SOP for putting in suspension. thumbsup.gif

tighten all the bolts on your bushings too while each corner is in the air.

Perhaps I misunderstand your comment but, SOP for tightening bolts through rubber bushing is to either do it at normal ride height (car on ground) or jack up the control arm and tighten when the arm is in pretty close to stock position. If you don't, you'll rip the bushings and/or cause the car not to ride at the correct height.

yeah thats what i meant. while the car is in the air with the jack under the hub (as the OP stated), that way the suspension is at ride height with the wheel off so you can access the bolts.
