A new toy sits in the driveway
After picking up the Nissan Cube for Amy several months back, I took over use of her POS Saturn until I decided what I wanted to do car-wise. The automatic saved my clutch knee now that I'm driving north of Baltimore every day. I figured it would get me through the winter, but as with all things, nothing lasts forever. It started to give me a few codes and run really rough a couple of months ago, but that was fixed with some new plugs and a good TB cleaning. Well, a few days ago new codes popped up for slow-to-respond EGR valve and off-base O2 sensor, so I figured why spend another $100 and several hours in the cold driveway when I could go for something that worked right away.
So I picked up one of these:
Full shebang, every option but the Nav package (I'll install something better later). It has the Bordeaux-colored top and the Wine-colored interior. I wasn't sure if it would be too much with the Black Cherry Metallic exterior, but they split up the interior with quite a bit of black, and the top only looks strong in color when the sun isn't strong enough to make the metallic pop (the car looks almost black during that time).
I hated to get an automatic in such a fun car, but it's a daily driver, and my approaching-40-yo knees say "thank you". I'm pondering a twin-turbo setup with all of the fixin's, and I have a couple of tasteful bodykits picked out already.

Amy wouldn't let me get a GT-R Of course, at the dealer when I said that (while signing the papers for the 370Z, mind you) her reply was "I never said you couldn't get it, it's just a boat of a vehicle." To which I replied, "Yeah, but it's a boat that hauls ass!"
Que sera...
Haven't decided what to do with the S yet. I drove it to/from work last week and was grinning ear to ear, so I hate to give it up, but I don't really need two convertibles. I may have to find someone who likes what I've done with her and see if we can agree on a price...
