i traded in my 01 civic ex to an 01 s2k so similar boat, mine too had single owner old lady. but curious, why do people swap out the shift knobs? the stock metal one is awesome. is it purely for weight difference? and is this one different from stock? looks identical to me (or maybe it's heavier?).

The stock shift knob is nice, but I wanted a heavier countersunk option that sat lower. It makes the throw feel shorter without an aftermarket short shifter....it's all about personal preference.

My TR4A was white (yeah, I'm THAT old!) and I always loved the color! Nice grab. When looking for my car in the Spring of 2014 I soon learned that looking for a specific color wasn't gonna work well for me with so few cars available.
The stock leather wrapped shift know never felt right to me either. Honda makes a nice round all steel (I assume stainless) knob that was fitted to the CR and various Civics (and probably more). Form is different. Function is the same! I replaced the orange side lights with clear versions and yellow LEDs. Matter of taste I guess. I mean some guys prefer Lite beer over Scotch and a few even like black wheels.
My all black interior was offset by a glaringly silver radio door -- the only silver inside -- which was (fairly) easily replaced with the CR door that's a bit more subdued. If the next owner is lurking don't worry, all the OEM parts are here including the exhaust and airbox.
Enjoy the car. Beware: modifications are a slippery slope!
