The newest update of the BFG Rival S is the one that stands a good chance of dethroning the re-71r. I have yet to test the Rival S, but most of the comparisons only give a slight edge to the 71r. They both perform almost identical, with the exception of the 71r maintaining heat longer. A newer version of this tire will be specifically targeted at beating the 71r. My lack of enthusiasm for the original Rival left me very weary to try the S, but I will probably go that route after I chew through these after a few more events.

I have nothing but high hopes for the ZIII. Dunlop is really good at constantly improving, and their tire is already great. If they follow their normal protocol, it will be a few years before we really know. They release their tire in JPN and wait about a year before they distro to the US. Once distro begins, they release the star spec version- that takes another year to get to our shores. By that time, the RE71R will be up for an update- maybe RE71-A.
Quite a wait. RE71-A should be interesting. Seems like these extreme summer tires are pushing on the limits of what a street tire can do. We will see how much more they will offer in the next couple of years. I wish the RE11s were still made for street use.

I agree on the re11a. They missed the mark with the 71r being it's replacement. They should have just added the 71r to the lineup. There is too much comprimise between the two. It was the equivalent of Ford discontinuing the f150 lineup and only offering Raptors.

Loaded Flashpro "stock tuned" map... and it feels amazing already!

Going to start working on freeing up the exhaust and an e-tune soon.

Default My most recent purchases.

I've had a few upgrade this past month. I've bought a t1r 70 duel exhaust with test pipe (used of course) and a passwordjdm carbon Kevlar intake from the same seller in GA. Then decided to but a hardtop mugen rep. But I'm having problems with a passenger window leak when I installed it

Sounds like another potential issue with DBW cars.
