Default Mugen, Sard, and Dixcel.

Hi everybody. I will exposed my problems, as short as possible.

I have a EU MY 2006 S2000. As you know, in Europe, we only have the F20C engine for all MY S2000. But, the vast majority of the US and JDM stuff have been adapted to the F22C when this engine became the only option available on US S2000 in 2004 and Japan S2000 in 2006.

So, I'm not sure which part will have full compatibility on my car.
My goal is to buy a full new exhaust system.

With my own research, i ended up with this:

- Header: Mugen AP1 (more suitable than a AP2 for a F20C engine, i guess, tell me if i'm wrong in term of compatibility with the Mugen AP2 cat-back)
- Cat-back: Mugen AP2 V1 (if i fully understand the difference between V1 and V2. V1= one hanger, V2 = two hanger)
- Catalyzer: I want a Sard Hi-Flow cat. But there is no version for the 2006 F20C. Closest is the 2005 version for F20C. So i think that i should take this one. See all the version available here: http://www.sard.co.jp/after_eng/prod...matchlist.html
Scroll to the Honda list. I don't understand why there are so many version. Difference in pipe length and diameter, maybe?

If you can confirm that those parts will match together or not, or if a AP2 header would be more suitable, or anything else. Let me know. I can't find any confirmation of the compatibility. I contacted some dealer and they couldn't help me.

I also heard that the exhaust system has slight difference between MY2005 F20C and MY 2006 F20C. That's why I'm not sure that 2005 F20C stuff will fit my 2006 car. I'm totally lost to say the true.

Concerning the Dixcel brakes, i tried to contact SurugaPerformance, but they don't answer me. Do you know if their business are ended?
If you know any other dealer that could import Dixcel stuff to France, let me know.

Last question, is there any way to contact directly Mugen and Sard? I couldn't find one.

Thank you in advance

Try Spoon Sports Europe for the Dixcels https://www.s2ki.com/...-dixcel-brakes/

The UK based guys will know the answers to your other questions re the Mugen bits.

Thank you Lovegroova. I will ask my exhaust questions to the UK owners. (My S is a UK one so...)
For the Dixcel brakes, i already check this thread, and the price are nearly twice the price announced on Surugaperformance. But if they fail to answer me again i will have to order my brakes setup via Spoon.

Thanks again.

Don't forget that you'd have to pay shipping + sales tax + import tax on top of on the Suruga prices, so the difference may not be as much.

Just a little update concerning the Dixcel brakes. I receive my full set, front slotted FCR disk + rear plain FCR disk + Type Z pads all around. I paid 729.46£ (935.72 euros) tax duty and shipping included.

If you want more info, send me a PM.

A little pic of what you can visually expect from a Dixcel brake setup:

Another information, the weight of the disks and pads are the same as the OEM one.

It has been a long time since i posted here, but finally all of those parts have been installed on my S2000 06 UK.

So, i can confirm that, on a S2000 MY 06, the Mugen header AP1 + Sard catalyzer 2005 version + Catback Mugen AP2 V2 perfectly fit together. No issue at all with piping diameter or the overall length, but my CEL is on because of the cat.
What you can expect from this setup is: 35 pounds save, less torque <3500 rpm, a bit more torque >5000 and much more raw power in the Vtec. I mean you can really feel it. I'm sure with a reflash, the car would pull some nice results on the dyno. This exhaust setup sound fantastic. Not too loud in the low, very quiet at idle (like OEM) an it provides a terrifying screaming sound in the Vtec. No drone at all, its sound is very clear.
My 4 friends that helped me to fit the full exhaust on my car loved the sound in the vtec, even if they thought that it was a bit too quiet in the low. My girlfriend absolutely love the new exhaust sound and don't regret at all the quietness of the OEM one.
One advice: go for it.
