Can anyone translate Japanese? What gains if any from these? Are these new? I couldn't find them on the USA site.

Found the Engrish link

Developed to give lighter and sportier engine characteristic. By reducing the overall weight (and inertia) of the 3 pulleys, and by modifying the alternator pulley ratio to take advantage of the more sporty use, the burden on the engine is reduced helping to improve acceleration performance. A standard (Honda F20C) length belt for the AC kit and shortened belt for the AC less kit is provided. Installing with a new belt is important to help improve the running in process of the new pulleys. Different material is used on the oil seal face of the crank pulley to reduce friction improving sealing and to reduce wear. The hexagon socket design of the original crank pulley is retained so that Honda's service tool can be used when loosening or tightening the crank pulley bolt. Dyno testing has shown up to an 8 H.P. improvement in power output.

The pulleys are on the ASM blog. I was wondering if any one had the Todas. Are pulleys bad for the F20/F22?

search light weight pulley and you'll find answers to all your questions Mike.

But to sum it up for you... rumors are lightweight crank pulleys will destory your engine because you take off the stock Harmonic Balanced/Dampened crank pulley.

but from my experience and others with acura TL on Acurazine... we've been running UR pulleys for a couple of years now.. and none reported back with failure of their engine.

However I can see the money for Toda pulleys used for better gains else where.

Look at the weights between the 2, the todas are noticably lighter..

ASM No. 1 car is using these pulleys also.
I emailed about these products to Toda USA before...never got any answers back.

"In the early morning, when the roads where still wet after the heavy rain the night before, we left for Fuji. While on the way, I was very surprised with the TODA RACING Light Weight Crank Pulley kit. The response is just fantastic. Comparing with other brands, with the hard alumite on the surface, which makes it durable, monitoring the electric generating capacity for the size of the pulley, makes it help with confidence. If this wasn't produced by a engine maker, it will be difficult with the cost. Talking about the engine, I think 50% of S2000's attractiveness is the engine. To appreciate this attractiveness with comfort I think this is good."
